The left is currently defending the "vote-buying" guy in Brazil.
This is singlehandedly the biggest difference between right wingers and everybody else in modern day politics.
When centrists or left leaning parties lose a democratic election, they concede and try again a couple years later.
When right wingers lose, they scream election fraud and hope that it sticks without even understanding that the acceptance of an election is the single most important thing in democratic societies.
Actively destroying the populations trust in the results can not be in anyone's interest who wants to keep the democracy alive.

The Republican party has changed its stances on:
Protectionism
Supporting international organizations (UN, NATO, etc)
Stricter immigration policies
Social issues of all sorts (Republicans used to nearly only focus on tax policy and foreign policy between the 90s and 2016)
The Republican party under Reagan and the Bushes focused on hardly any of the issues Trump pushes today.

This line of thought is inherently racist to white people. You would think the black guy with an Irish flag in his bio would look and see that the historic suffering of the white Irish was not all that different from that of the black African but i guess critical thinking died a long time ago.
