This is the roadmap I've put together for the next few months. While I already have a background in ML, I've never really explored the performance engineering or CUDA side of things. It should be an interesting few months ahead.
i do think it would be killer for paper recommendations though, something like huggingface daily papers

most of the things we get to see here (on twitter) essentially boil down to burning tokens for the sake of burning tokens, even when they do feel superficially nice
Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5:
hackertube.org/
- Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session)
- Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads
- Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version
- HackerTube Longs ✊
A bit more on the process:
I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing.
Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.
i can understand the intent behind it, but the current version of chatgpt, where it loads visuals in addition to text (it should have always been text), takes noticeable time to load, making the UI look buggy/laggy

I’ve always felt like Rabbit’s form factor was quite good.

yeah bookmarks usually end up becoming a graveyard :D
I had thought of making a list but lost enthusiasm along the way. But hopefully soon. haha
interesting read. it provides a thorough walkthrough of triton, starting from the basics and building all the way up to a full implementation of the mamba algorithm.

i don’t think slowing down would really help, other than giving more time to improve safeguards while working on alignment

i think the same. he just wants to make sure nobody can catch up, while positioning anthropic for the upcoming IPO
the genie is already out of the bottle and dario is still debating how fast to open it
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

when the going gets tough, the tough get going. i am certain the whale will take us to the moon.
