My San Jose office received a suspicious letter through the mail today. Law enforcement was immediately called. The investigation is ongoing. All of my staffers are safe. I will have more to say after the investigation is complete.
I had a wonderful time this week visiting the bioengineering labs at @Stanford to see some of the cutting edge research they’re doing on plant and fungal biotech. The work that’s being done here is an important part of maintaining America’s scientific and agricultural leadership.
Donald Trump is terrified of voters holding his party accountable for enabling his disastrous policies. He lost dozens of lawsuits challenging his 2020 election failure, and I hope that this anti-democratic lawsuit is also laughed out of court.

Today, my colleagues @RepKevinMullin, @RepHuffman, @aishabbwahab, and I conducted an unannounced visit to the detention facility being operated by CBP at SFO.
There have been reports of people being detained for multiple days in a facility not designed or equipped for that purpose.
We will continue conducting oversight visits and our work to ensure transparency and accountability.
