Good news for CA associations... the Governor signed AB2050 into law. This protects CA (community association) homeowners from unsettling special assessments by requiring associations to fund at least some Reserves from the budget.

What makes boards think they can't afford Reserve Funding, so they'll wait and get a loan to pay those same costs? That's just a more expensive solution! Better to have the bank pay you with interest earnings, than pay the bank interest!
