Nearly all this āinternational games are badā talk is coming from US fans. The NFL has already got you. Goodell and team owners put these games on to expand the NFLās worldwide footprint. Huge gains have been made in the UK and Germany. These arenāt going away.

David Blough has had blunders and things I don't quite understand. But I've got to say that after watching the All-22 of the passing game, he got a lot of guys open last night.
I wrote down "wide open" 10 times on different passes. One (first throw of game was more of a coverage bust) but he schemed dudes open last night vs SF's zone all night.

I honestly donāt get why people insist on showing this clip like itās some damning piece of evidence. Iām 110% sure there are in fact things the team is doing that I donāt know about. I donāt know if theyāre good things or not. But what he says here is just a factual statement.

Two games = 0 takeaways from the Commanders defense.
An all too familiar stat from last season.
This has to change now more than ever without Jayden on the field again.

And ppl think im tripping when I say David Blough fucking sucks. Two weeks in a row his situational awareness has be dog shit. The man called 2 trick plays on 1 drive.
He is clueless. Both DQ and Peters are guilty of negligence

Steve Kerr says Roger Federer taught his Warriors team the secret to sustained success wasnāt outworking everyone, it was building a life around your craft you never want to escape from
āIāll tell you a great story about Roger Federer. We were playing in China with the Warriors in 2017. Roger was in Shanghai for the Masters tournament, so we invited him to come speak to the team.ā
āDraymond Green asked him, āHow do you sustain success? How have you managed to win majors 20 years after you first won one?ā Everyone was expecting him to say, āI work harder than everybody,ā the will, all the clichĆ©s.ā
āRoger Federer says, āI get up every morning and I make breakfast for my kids. Then I take them to school and drop them off. Then I go practice tennis for about two hours, and Iāve figured out a really good routine where I donāt destroy my body, but I can get all the work in I need.ā
āāThen I go have lunch with my wife. In the evening, we cook dinner together. The kids are all home from school. We ask them about school. Thereās so much joy in the house. We put them to bed, and then I put my head on the pillow and go, āMan, that was just a great day.ā And Iāve been doing that for 20 years.āā
āAnd it was like, yes. Thatās it. Thatās the formula. Thatās what leads to sustained success. He loves tennis. He loves his family. He loves life. Itās not outworking everybody and banging your head against the wall, āIām going to be better than everybody.ā Itās allowing your natural talent to shine through with a work ethic, with a great family life, with perspective, with peace, with mindfulness.ā
āItās perspective. Itās joy. Itās passion. Itās mindfulness. Itās an awareness that we are truly lucky. To get the most out of ourselves, itās our daily rituals and experiences and love and joy.ā

Have you been to training camp or watched a practice? Everyone (fans and media) are allowed to shoot whatever they want for about 30-40 minutes of practice. The last hour plus is when the team is running 11on11 and 7on7 and they donāt allow any video of that. When fans are at practice some āsneakā video and post it. If media member did that theyād have their credentials pulled, thatās the difference and the stuff coaches hate

Players getting to know the journalists who show up every day and journalists who show up every day getting to know the players is particularly helpful, IMO, in this climate where content creators and online influencers can say anything with zero accountability
The NFLPA has not renewed its efforts from 2024 to have players be interviewed by media members in a setting other than teams' locker rooms, sources say. In Front Office Sports @FOS. frontofficesports.com/articlā¦

Mixing in my personal anecdote...
I was supposed to do an internship at our local CBS station when I got a call one day asking me to apply for a web producer job at their rival station, which I accepted.
My first week at the station, the guy in my job at CBS, Cameron Glenn, called to congratulate me on the role. It was a very classy thing to; unfortunately, our good rapport didn't last long.
Our station was last in the news ratings, and no one visited our website. I felt I had to be extremely competitive in order to improve our standing in the market. Our web traffic did go up, and we were first in a lot of ways, including first to stream all our newscasts and first to use social media to engage with our viewers.
But I overdid things on the competitive side more than once, and it wound up really souring what could have been a good peer relationship with a very smart colleague who understood the business better than I did.
The business is competitive by design, but a lot goes on behind the scenes that viewers rarely get to see, including that spirit of cooperation and collaboration. Do we tip competing stations to news stories? Not directly, no. But if we're all at the scene of a story, do we help each other out? Yes, we do.
And when a crisis hits a little too close to home, the GMs and news directors get on the phone with each other to offer their help and support where they can.
In our industry, people root for you to succeed, until you give them multiple reasons not to. I've never forgotten that lesson.
