At my previous company, I was part of a team that was tasked with vetting and selecting a partner to bring a legitimate sales process to our company.
We did our research and chose three companies who we invited to sell us on why they would be the best partner for us.
Of the three, only one actually used their process and tools to sell to us. The other two showed us their process and explained how it would help us, but didn’t actually use it.
Two companies were trying to sell us the sizzle, only one put the steak on the table and let us taste it.
Crazy, right? Any guess which company we went with?
What are you selling?

For those who want the simplest math lesson today-
Minneapolis has around 400k residents (even that is inflated).
Which gives about 31k per Ward.
90% are citizens.
65% of that (and I’m being generous) are adults.
80% are registered.
That puts us at 14400.
These are just nation wide statistical averages of the last 60ish years.
And in Minneapolis Ward 12 last year over 14,000 ballots were cast- or 98%
So is this purple haired grown woman lydia saying non citizens are voting? Or children? Or both?
Rough day to not know math in our banana republic.
Easy to say “Worry is a waste of time” when your team is one win away from their first World Series trophy, but that doesn’t mean Pat Murphy is wrong.
As he says, worry is about the future which takes away our power in the now. Good coaching for us all.
Good life lesson from Pat Murphy about how worrying is a "waste of time."

I’m new friends with a guy who is retired from a Purchasing Director role at 3M here in MN.
We like to share stories about being on opposite sides of the sell/buy equation.
I asked him what his most successful negotiating tactic was, and he said, “I literally did nothing, it worked great.”
He said when a vendor presented a proposal, he’d look it over, lean back in his chair, very slightly shake his head no, say nothing, and just look at the rep.
“More often then not, they would start to negotiate against themselves, whether on price, or terms, or giving some added concession.”
I’ve always said, “Sales is a performance art.” My friend is teaching me that Purchasing is as well.
A prayer for us this week:
“Creator of all, you have given us knowledge to know right from wrong, and the free will to choose one path or the other.
This week grant us the strength to do the right thing for the right reason.
To do right, not because others may think well of us. But to do right because it honors you and what you created me to become. Amen.”

Out of respect for the spirit of revival that is taking place around the world, I humbly ask if everyone on my timeline who believes in the power of prayer would you please stop what you're doing to just take a moment, and post this short prayer. Not all will but I hope some will.
II Chronicles 7:14
Lord we need you ! Please sweep across this nation and heal this land. Restore our strength, renew our minds, and banish everything that is not of You.
In Jesus Christ’s name we pray.
Amen.
Thank you.
I copied and pasted. You can too….
Best time of the year to be walking in MN. Winter is coming, but today is glorious!
Actuarial tables say that on average, most of us have about 4,000 weeks on this big blue marble, which means I have about 236 weeks left.
Which means I have about 5 Autumns left for walks like this.
Now, I don’t plan to be “average” and believe I have a lot more walking ahead of me, but I’m not taking any chances.
How about you? What are you waiting for? Get out there and kick some leaves this weekend!
Here’s one of the paradoxes of leadership.
The more strident and certain you are of the future, the more your team wonders if you’ve actually thought things through.
Followers actually have more confidence in a leader who has the humility to say,
“Gang, I believe this is our best path forward based on the information we have available. But I know the market can change quickly, so let’s all keep our eyes and ears open, and if you see something, say something”.
Which brings us to another paradox, It takes courage to have humility.
“I’d like to give my team a sales training refresher, but this is a huge quarter for us and I just can’t spare the time right now.”
Sound familiar?
Honing your team’s edge is important, but not urgent. You can always justify “back-burnering” it.
As my Gramma Anna used to say, “You ever been so busy driving that you didn’t take time to get gas?”

This ad applies to every state consumed by Democrat corruption and incompetence.
I’m getting messages from across the country from people it brought to tears.
A powerful message that every voter needs to see.
Vote a straight Republican ticket.

Maybe this is why she couldn't find the fraud.
@peggyflanagan, in her own words:
"I'm going to tell you a secret, and don't tell anybody, okay? ... I graduated from high school with a 1.75 GPA by the skin of my teeth and I got into college based on stellar letters of recommendation and a charming personality."
A 1.75 GPA. By her own admission, she talked her way into college on personality.
She's spent eight years as @LtGovFlanagan while $250 million was looted through Feeding Our Future and billions more disappeared across state programs — and she never saw a thing. She oversaw the whole State while Walz was AWOL for a while year running for VP. Now she wants a promotion to the U.S. Senate?
Washington doesn't need another charming personality. It needs someone who can read a balance sheet.

Being unique is a good way to be memorable to prospects.
But being unique only matters if it is in service to how your solution serves customers.
This is why, for example, you don’t wear clown shoes to your first meeting.
Yes, they’ll remember you, and probably speak about you after.
But not in a way you would want them to.
Be different where it counts, where it matters to them.

Oh do I have a true story for you today…
Trip to Walmart today, I saw
an elderly lady stocking shelves. She dropped an item, I picked it up for her. In a very feeble voice, she says thank you. I asked how old she was, in her late 80’s. We talked a minute or two, she is going through so much, trying to survive.
I gave her a $100 bill, told her to get something she needed.
Why is anyone this old, in the United States, working? Why do politicians insist on taking care of the rest of the world? I'll never understand it, they are suppose to work for us!
Something needs to change. All I see is no respect, no discipline, no morals, want everything free!
It's a damn shame! People wonder why I hate politicians so bad!
We need term limits, NOW!
I’m not a millionaire, struggle myself. But, I’ll be damned if I’ll watch an elderly person, near 90 years old do this shit, just to survive!
Not sure who needs to hear this today, but here ya go. . .
There will be plenty of people who will doubt you.
Just make sure you’re not one of them.

A prayer for us this week:
“Creator of all, as we strive this week to provide for those you have entrusted to our care, help us to remember the gifts you have bestowed on us that allow us to serve others.
We thank you for our physical health that provides the engine that fuels our actions.
We thank you for our intellect that provides the creativity that inspires others.
We thank you for our soul that provides the love that comforts others.
Amen.”

Imagine taking $253 million of federal money through 48 grants, and when the Inspector General shows up asking the most basic questions any bookkeeper would ask… did these people exist, were they eligible, did they get the training, were the wages real… you go dark for four months and then call the questions too intrusive.
That is Minnesota. Tim Walz's Department of Employment and Economic Development sat on numerous requests for participant data on 26 grants worth $210,898,737 and handed over nothing, not a spreadsheet, not a file, nothing. Their excuse is privacy for 30,000 residents. Privacy? You took the money from the people of this country and now the people of this country are not allowed to see where it went?
Here is the reality. The IG memo itself says the missing data does not by itself prove the money was misspent, fair enough, and yet it also says nobody can verify whether participants existed, whether they got the services reported, or whether the reported wages were accurate. When you refuse to let anyone check, you are telling us exactly what the books look like. Honest people do not hide receipts. Anthony D'Esposito called it deliberate obstruction and he is right.
And keep in mind this is the same state that gave us Feeding Our Future, $250 million meant to feed needy kids gone out the door, in a state the administration says got bilked for as much as $9 billion. Walz walked away from his reelection bid saying he needed to focus on defending Minnesotans against the criminals who prey on their generosity… and his own agency cannot produce a single participant record for the auditors. How do you not see it?
I have seen this movie over and over. The money comes out of your paycheck, runs through Washington, lands in a state agency, flows out to subrecipients nobody can name, and when someone finally asks, the answer is always the same… trust us, it is too sensitive to show you. You are the one paying for it, and you are the one they treat like you have no right to ask.
Make no mistake, this is institutional rot and it is despicable. Subpoena every record, freeze these grants until every dollar is accounted for, and do not send one more cent to people who will not show the receipts.
Pray, Stand, Speak, ACT.
Love,
What all of you good people are thinking
Minnesota took $210 MILLION in @USDOL grants. Now it’s stonewalling investigators.
Taking YOUR money is fine. Asking where it went is “too intrusive.”
You took it. Account for it.

While the Somali Fraud gets all the headlines, people don't realize how lucrative we make it in Minnesota for the Somali's to come here, hate America and not work
Say there is an Unemployed Somali Couple with 3 kids...here are the LEGAL benefits they get,(without ANY of the Fraud)
Free housing (Up to $2500/mo)
Roughly $2,000/month in cash and food benefits
Full medical coverage for the whole family, Zero Out of Pocket
Energy assistance grant for utilities. Covers most or all
Discounted or free cell phone/internet via the Lifeline program
WIC for young children and infants, plus free school meals
$2500 a month for Daycare,(can be paid to the nieghbor)
Oh and if the Kids are "Autistic" they get $990/mo for each, non taxed because its SSI
So while we need to go after the Fraud, we also need to look at the LEGAL benefits we are providing to people that hate us and hate our country
Several of my “homework” assignments to followers here call for you to be by yourself with no distractions, just you and your big ol’ brain thinking away.
It’s hard to do because our brain has been conditioned to always be receiving stimuli and it doesn’t know how to process silence anymore.
Here’s proof. In a UVA study, 25% of women, and 2/3rds of male participants chose to give themselves an electrical shock rather than sit for 15 minutes with no stimulation!
We don’t have to live this way. Your brain can be retrained to be at peace with silence. It’s a choice and you have the freedom to make it.
