Gujarat: Three Muslim Men Sentenced to Rigorous Life Imprisonment in Cow Slaughter Case; Court Cites the Vedas and Sanskrit Verses
Ahmedabad: A sessions court in Kalol town of Gandhinagar district, Gujarat, on Monday sentenced three men to rigorous life imprisonment in a cow slaughter case after they were found in possession of 277 kg of beef. The court also imposed a fine of ₹3 lakh on each convict.
While delivering the judgment, Additional Sessions Judge B. R. Rajput extensively cited ancient Sanskrit texts to emphasise the importance of protecting the cow in Indian culture.
The three accused—Vasim Kureshi of Juhapura, Mahmad Rafiq Kureshi of Behrampura, and Asfak Bahelim of Fatehwadi—were found guilty under the Gujarat Animal Preservation (Amendment) Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
According to Additional Public Prosecutor Jignesh Joshi, police had arrested six persons, including Lalabhai Senma, Ghulam Moin Kureshi and Vitthal Senma, in connection with the case. On August 22, 2024, police raided Lalabhai's house in Jamla village of Gandhinagar district and found Vasim, Mahmad Rafiq and Asfak in possession of 277 kg of beef valued at ₹55,000. Police also recovered weapons allegedly used for slaughtering a cow and a vehicle meant for transporting the meat.
The investigation revealed that the accused intended to sell the beef to Ghulam Moin. After the trial, the court found three of the six men guilty.
In its judgment, the court observed:
“Despite having known that cow is like mother, they were trying to sell beef after slaughtering it. They were caught red-handed and if such accused are not given punishment prescribed under the law, the cow will disappear from the face of the earth.”
Quoting from the Vedas, the court further stated:
“Cow is considered as the mother of the universe. It is useful for human life and society. Protecting the cows is an act related to religion and compassion. Where a cow is slaughtered, legal action should be taken. If the crime against the accused is proven by evidence, he should be given appropriate punishment...”
The judge also cited another Sanskrit couplet highlighting the sacred status accorded to cows in Hindu tradition:
“You are the mother of all gods, and you are the cause of sacrifice. O sinless one, you are the holy place of all holy places. I offer my respectful obeisance unto you.”

One failure of the industrial revolution is that wives don't see their husbands work. She sees him trying to relax afterward, compares it to her day, and thinks she works harder.
Overcoming this requires a faith in men that feminist society constantly undermines.
> is a stay at home wife (not mother)
> husband works full time
> she does house chores and grocery shopping for a grand total of 2 people
> wants to stop doing chores
> husband laughs and says no
> suggests getting a maid, husband says no
> crashes out on reddit
It takes minutes of time per day to keep a house clean with only 2 people living in it. You dont need a vacation from this.

Hindus are doing this to Christians in India and then migrating to majority Christian countries and demanding tolerance while they spread anti-Christian sentiment inside our countries as well.
“They said I can’t have faith in Christianity and no Christian can stay in this Hindu locality,” Laxmi Mondal said. The mob also threatened her 16-year-old -daughter with abduction and rape.

Many people have what can be called the Saudi derangement syndrome. They don’t legitimately criticise Saudi Arabia but have a personal vendetta against the Kingdom. When Saudi Arabia neglects the Sharīʿah by allowing music concerts and ribā, they (rightfully) criticise it. When Saudi Arabia actually rules by the Sharīʿah, they also criticise it. Nothing pleases these people because their problem is with the Kingdom itself and not its deeds.
I had no intention of discussing this filthy and shameful matter, but I am compelled to post in protest against the spread of false and fabricated stories.
Two individuals from Bangladesh, Nazrul Islam and Sathi Akhtar. Both worked for the Bin Laden Company and were cleaners at the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca Mukarramah. The girl resided in Villa Batha Quraish, while the boy lived in Villa Hayy al-Iskan.
During their duty, a romantic relationship developed between the two, and they committed adultery in a deserted room located on the stairs between gates 85 and 87 of the Masjid al-Haram.
Nazrul Islam had instructed one of his Indian friends to stand guard below. That friend recorded a video of the incident. Later, when he himself expressed a desire to commit adultery with the girl but was unable to do so, or when neither consented, he made the video public.
After that, the incident came into the public eye. Saudi authorities succeeded in arresting all three individuals. The Indian youth was sentenced to 20 years in prison and remains in jail. The other two were also kept in prison.
Nazrul Islam had arrived in Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh between November 10 and 13, 2022. He committed this wrongful act in May 2023, after which Saudi authorities arrested him. He remained in prison from May 2023 to October 2026. The judicial proceedings of this case lasted approximately three and a half to four years.
During this time, it is the responsibility of the Saudi government to inform the sponsor and the company. It is not their responsibility to notify people from other countries about it.
Many people are claiming that the two had gone for Umrah and had merely kissed there. All these stories are completely false and fabricated.
It is true that both were unmarried. But the question here is: even though they were unmarried, why were they sentenced to death? Do you know why? Because this is the Masjid al-Haram. The matter here is not limited to just the punishment for adultery; rather, the individual also violated the sanctity and honor of the Masjid al-Haram.
For this very reason, to set an exemplary punishment, the senior judges of the Supreme Court deemed the death penalty appropriate as a deterrent measure and pronounced the same sentence. This punishment is in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah.
The most astonishing thing is that even today, we continue to shamelessly spread lies about this matter. Atheist individuals from both the right and left wings in Bangladesh are saying all this, and even some of those who advocate for the implementation of Islamic law in Bangladesh are opposing this decision.
May Almighty Allah guide us, Ameen.
