Today marks the start of the Nagoya Basho, so to celebrate sumo's return I wrote about the biggest storylines heading into the tournament. Injuries, our yokozuna, Kirishima's white rope chase, some exciting young guns, a quirky debutant, & so much more!

If you're gonna be evil you gotta do the little things. It's not punching people with a diamond ring or hitting someone with a sledgehammer. It's El Satanico ripping out El Dandys armpit hair. It's the little things.

this is always a dumb argument and I'd like his historically illiterate moron no taste having fans to stay away from me, but for those less inclined to scroll, my generous and also very accurate writing on HHH at #18 on the WOTY list.
(writing on a few also in the MOTY list)

For every Triple H shooter replying to me, my friend @ElHijoDelSimon did an incredibly thorough deep dive for the year 2000 to find out the real best wrestlers and matches from that year. So instead of telling me how sexy 2000 Paul was you should read this wp.me/pbiNkZ-e4e
For like a 6 month period in 2000 Tajiri was the single best wrestler in the world. Also more wrestlers should've tried to kill the ECW audience like this.
If you see this and you like wrestling you should go and check out my wrestling photography instagram page. I've spent the last 3 years going to wrestling shows in Japan, taking photos, and now this page showcases my favorites!

While Tajiri has a lot of incredible work from around this time I think this three way dance is his magnum opus. His offense is just so fucking mean, violent, and evil both with the kicks and with the weapons. This might be the best match in company history and Tajiri is why.

I love the symbolism of the fans helping Super Crazy up, especially after the beating he took before this. And the moonsault itself? Well it's no Jun Kasai balcony dive, but, it'll do.
My favorite ECW production quirk is the way they shot Tajiri's baseball slide dropkick. Always made the impact look that much more brutal.
The flow these two have between spots is fantastic. It’s something even their greatest imitators fail to replicate. There's no standing around watching their opponent, waiting to be dived on. There's no stop start bullshit. It's balls to the wall in the best way.
Because of this tweet I decided to spend the day watching the best stuff to come from ECW (Tajiri vs. Super Crazy).
