This past week students in Ms. Gruss' Health & Wellness 9 classes practiced their "Hands - Only CPR" skills, as well as, participated in a "Race to Save a Life" scavenger hunt to find the four AED machines located throughout the high school.
Today, 10/21/26, at approximately 2:00pm, the Richland School District conducted an Administrative Lock-Down Drill at the Elementary School.
Please be assured that this drill was a precautionary measure and not a response to any specific threat.

On September 19, 2026, Sara Grela and the Richland Forensics Club were recognized by the Pennsylvania Communication Association (PCA) at their 86th annual conference held at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown (UPJ). 1/3
Sara was awarded the Jeanne Lutz High School Speaker of the Year Award for her performance as part of the forensics club/team, which has included two trips to Bloomsburg University to participate in the PA State Forensics Tournament over the past three years. 2/3
There will be a Jr. High Halloween dance on Wednesday, October 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased through Monday, October 26, during lunch. Ticket price includes admission, food, drinks, and games. Costume prizes will be awarded.
