If you can’t afford to pay your workers the minimum wage, let alone enough to live on, maybe the real problem is that your business model isn’t viable 💀
The way these guys talk about wages as if they’re a discretionary expense and not a basic cost of production is wild to me.

Quite sad if you're moaning that minimum wage has gone up and comparing your own pay to it.
Seems like so many British value themselves based on how much more they have than other people
Minimum wage doesn't mean easy or that they deserve to struggle

If you're complaining about the minimum wage increasing, you should remember that the value of the pound has fallen by a third this decade. And that doesn't account for disproportionate increases in the cost of essential goods like food, energy and housing.

Tesco could pay every worker an extra £10,000 and still make a profit.
British Gas could pay every worker an extra £35,000 and still make a profit.
Shell could pay every worker an extra £300,000 and still make a profit.
It is the billionaires who are ripping you off.
“How dare they!!”
Actually, raising the minimum wage is the least they could do with every other bill & expense rising..

It's actually laughable. The biggest farce of it all is the fact that the personal allowance still sits at 12.5k. The same as it was 7 years ago pre covid when everything is about 50% more expensive since then. They're genuinely just taking the piss out of working people.
fighting for their lives in my mentions about MINIMUM wage. Mind you it’s only gone up 50 PENCE since April. Being more concerned about your profit margins than whether your staff can actually afford to live but I should care about whether your ‘small’ business can survive.. ok👍🏿
