Cal AI would have scaled to $200M ARR if I had access to this 2 years ago 😭
FunnelFox just shipped their MCP, and it's the #1 tool I'd want if I were running an app today
(especially if I’m trying to avoid apple’s 30% fees)
Just connect it to your AI assistant and build or tweak any web funnel with whatever you’ve got:
> a funnel URL you like as inspo or a Figma design you like
> your own funnels that already convert
> exactly what competitors are running (pulled straight from their Market Radar)
Everything it builds is a real FunnelFox funnel, with the quiz, paywall, checkout, and web2app logic already wired in
Now you just type one line and you watch Claude or any other AI update or create your funnels in minutes:
"build a funnel like this one, but for a male audience"
"adapt my top funnel for all my geos"
"change prices across every checkout"
Our edge at Cal AI was doing the simple things faster than everyone else
This is how you win in consumer apps in 2026 and beyond

The best startups I work with answer these 3 risk types:
1. Market: Are you targeting a large, growing market?
2. Product: How defensible is your unfair advantage?
3. Execution: Can your team really deliver?
We try not to send the deck if we can't answer these 3 risks.

I’ve seen some of the biggest VCs cold reach out to my startup founders.
This is how they got their attention;
- Regularly sharing their journey on socials
- Participating in their community
- Sharing their wins & more importantly, losses
That’s the power of building in public

A monthly habit I do personally & for my clients is review SaaS subscriptions & automations. If I can’t recall what it’s for I cancel it immediately without question.
You’ll quickly find out if it’s something you truly need or is valuable to your business.

If you’re struggling with your pitch take a successful startup that’s not in your industry and, without research, map out;
- the Problem
- the Solution
- the Opportunity
- the Ask
It’s amazing how I’ve seen this help founders sharpen their own slides & remove jargon-y words.

When my startup clients are fundraising I set up alerts & automations to help monitor feedback & triage responses.
- alerts for when an investor responds
- automated for standard decision paths from @typeform
- @googleanalytics to assess what files garner the most interest

I’ve seen many founders win investment via cold contacting on LinkedIn.
It starts with using the note feature when trying to connect with them on LinkedIn. While it’s limited to 300 characters, @twitter has shown us that you can say a lot with that amount (or even 20 less).

With @blackbirdvc & @SquarePegCap raising record-breaking new feeds you would think that the situation for Australian startup funding would be more positive.
The truth is, for pre-seed and seed startups the situation hasn’t changed. You still need to pitch the fundamentals.

Automations should be tested & iterated as much as your product.
I’ve found that the 1st way I’ve automated something is pretty good.
But give yourself a month with it & by then you can probably discover an even better way to implement & manage the automation.

Zapier can get expensive pretty quickly. One way to keep costs down is to use it as a process checklist;
1. Build the Zap as per normal
2. Keep the Zap in drafts
3. Use the Zap as a test anytime you need it.
As a draft/test it costs $0 & works well for long sequence processes.

One successful tactic I’ve seen with startup MVPs is to launch/test within an ecosystem.
Figure out where your target audience is & iterate product to work within that platform.
Think PayPal with eBay or LinkTree with Insta.
You’ll get to customers, insights & PMF faster.

Investors evaluate pitch decks based on 3 risk types:
1. Market: Are you targeting a large, growing market?
2. Product: How defensible is your unfair advantage?
3. Execution: Can your team really deliver?
If the deck isn’t answering all 3 risks don’t send it yet.

I am sorry, as a founder, the only thing that matters at pre-seed and seed:
Can you tell a story? Can you compel the other side to join you, as an investor, customer or team member.
You maybe the smartest but you don’t have data at this point so you have to inspire.

Kevin P. Ryan is the greatest serial entrepreneur alive today.
He built companies like @MongoDB, @Gilt, @BusinessInsider, Doubleclick, and many more.
Together worth more than $20 billion.
I spent last week studying how he does it.

📈 Smule has made it to the top 10 charts of US Appstore! It has been quite a wild ride as Smule recently rolled out its new product feature Moments to all users and many of these videos have gone viral across other short video platforms (like TikTok). 🤯
