WELL, WELL, WELL. I WAS REFUSED BALLOTS TODAY AT MY POLLING STATION IN #EDMONTONWHITEMUD!!
I had received mail-in ballots. I used the mail-in ballot for Question 10 bc I was certain how I would vote and was unsure if I would be able to get to the poll today so I wanted to make sure I got my vote in for #10. I did not even consider that I would not be allowed to vote on the other 9 Questions given that they were all separate ballots. My right to vote is my sacred democratic Right!
After the weekend and listening to Mark Carney I decided to change my plans and make a special effort to get to the polls today to Vote on 1 to 9. Unfortunately it is impossible to resolve this problem today unless Elections Alberta steps up. They know who I am - I registered at the poll today. They can reach out to me. I hope they do. Because as of now I have been denied my right to vote.

People are absolutely LOSING their minds over Albertans getting to vote.
If you’re so sure Team Canada is going to win, then why are you all acting like Alberta asking a question is a national emergency?
First we’re “seppies.”
Then we’re “traitors.”
Then “extremists.”
Now apparently we’re secretly becoming the 51st state, there’s some grand Trump plot, America is coming to scoop us up, Russia is lurking in the bushes, foreign interference is everywhere, and democracy itself is apparently in danger because Albertans might check a box you don’t like.
What’s next? Putin personally printed the ballots while Trump hid under Danielle Smith’s desk?
The propaganda is so overcooked it’s starting to parody itself.
Premiers. Prime ministers. Former premiers. Former prime ministers. Media outlets. Political talking heads. Everyone clutching their pearls because Alberta might actually get a say in Alberta’s future.
We should ALWAYS get a say. It’s called Democracy!!!!! You work for us, remember???
