Is this what all the haters wanted? Giannis is defending the best players in crunch time and succeeding. What y'all gonna say now
This shit was ass. I remember being around for this when it happened and the majority of people including me thought we were just robbed of what could’ve been an amazing match. Now we got people years later tryna hype this up
What made this match so awesome was that absolutely nobody could’ve guessed this was about to happen. Lesnar was beating everybody left, right and centre, taking out all these guys after ending the streak. He even beat Taker again twice the next year.
It wasn’t even clear if Goldberg would wrestle another match or have a long run after this. And then you get this match, which caught everybody completely by surprise. One of the coolest and most shocking things they’ve ever done.
That’s just what you do when you’re the greatest of all time
Bill Russell in 1969 at age 35 still had enormous impact.
Led the Celtics to the #1 defense and -6.4 rDRtg.
Held Elvin Hayes -4.2 ppg and -4.1% relative to his averages in the RS.
Held Walt Bellamy +2.0 ppg and -9.0% relative to his averages in the RS.
Held Nate Thurmond -4.7 ppg and -7.0% relative to his averages in the RS.
Held Willis Reed -3.9 ppg and -4.8% relative to his averages in the RS and +2.9 ppg and -1.2% relative to his averages in the PS.
Held Wilt Chamberlain -4.2 ppg and -7.6% relative to his averages in the RS and -8.8 ppg and -8.3% relative to his averages in the Finals.
Coached the team.
Won all 3 series in the playoffs without home court advantage beating very strong Knicks and Lakers teams.
Won his 11th championship.

Who created the concept of a hoodie? It’s just “let’s give people a sweater, but they lose the freedom to unzip it whenever they want” and people loved it somehow
Just crack down on all the gather step and carrying bullshit they’re allowed to do and guaranteed you’d see less injuries
Milwaukee would’ve been the perfect situation for him highkey
Jaylen Brown was reportedly the one who demanded a trade from Boston and was pushing for a move to Milwaukee, per @Scalabrine
“I think Jaylen Brown lives in his own reality. But because it wasn’t being documented that he demanded to be traded, then I don’t think that anybody, anybody thinks that, that he could—now, he could say that it was Tatum’s fault.
Like, he could just make stuff up. But my understanding is Jaylen Brown went to the organization and had a list of demands. And it was like, ‘You either do this or you trade me.’
And he was rooting to get traded to Milwaukee, including calling some other teammates about, ‘Hey, man, what do you think of Milwaukee? We should go there.’”
