I miss when VAs actually played with their voices to change it’s pitch and inflections, to actually PLAY a character.
This is my big issue with modern dubs for the past several years, it’s a combination of bad direction and poor casting. “Dekufication”, per say.

A new Kindle costs ₹21k. A new gaming laptop is anywhere between 1.5lakh-3lakh. No Xboxes on sale, afaik. PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 are above 60k on a good day. Games are above ₹6k. I feel very bad for children nowadays; the era of good accessible entertainment seems to be over
