Pretty good service recovery .. if only @British_Airways could learn from this ..
Well done @qatarairways.
Yesterday there was a major problem with Air Traffic Control in London. Our flight to Doha QR8 was delayed and we were in the plane for 3.5hrs on the tarmac.
However:
With @Starlink on the flight for all passengers for free it made communication and calls very easy.
Starlink was available even on boarding. With download speeds of around 60Mbps.
On the flight we received emails to confirm flight booking changes.
On landing an army of staff greeted us with everyone being allocated hotel vouchers and new boarding passes.
Luggage would be put on the correct plane to our final destination.
Transportation took us to the hotel with a voucher for all meals.
Qatar Airways really is the world's best airline.
And I getting spend a whole day in Doha, there are worse places to be stranded.
I left my new book as a gift to National Library as a small token of my gratitude.
What ever happened to brand promise and transparency @HeathrowExpress are selling tickets before you arrive at arrivals claiming 15 mins to London .. it's 30 mins today ... it's much quicker and better value to go on Lizzy line ..
Poor service from @British_Airways I understand the Nats challenge and cancelling my first flight but then to cancel my second, few hours before, book me on another airline that doesn't recognise my 'loyalty' status, no access to lounge etc, the Gold Card desirability is dire! 😔
