Morning. Just a reminder that the ref didn’t even give this as a foul. And then when VAR said possible red card he decided it was only a yellow because McAtee had played the ball wide. About three inches wide by the look of it. Shambles. Again. #nffc

RIP Caryle Murphy, who reported from inside occupied Kuwait in 1990, hiding from Iraqi troops. She would roll a typewritten story into a tube, dress as a jogger, run past an embassy and throw the tube over the wall to get the story out. @amcovarrubias washingtonpost.com/obituarie…

Endearingly, there was a group of extremely squirmy middle schoolers who sat in for the first part of the hearing as part of an educational trip. During a break, one of them asked the judge who was winning the case.

We are in a break in a discovery hearing on the BBC case, but Federal magistrate judge Enjoliqué Lett has ordered Donald Trump to sit for a deposition by Dec. 11 -- and for his team to comply with the discovery process in the case -- or they could face sanctions, up to dismissal of the case.

How do you burn through 6+ hours in a single hearing, order DOJ attorneys to sign a document at the outset, then end the day by walking back that forceful order you gave earlier in the day? Be Judge Reyes.
Here's a rundown from the explosive hearing today:

Democrats keep expanding the battleground. Last week they added six candidates to their Red to Blue program. But are they real targets? Historical analysis suggests that late additions are rarely winnable districts...
2024 - Only one of three late adds, April McClain Delaney in MD-6, won.
2022 - Five of six late adds lost. Like 2022 the only winner was in an open, Democratic-held seat
2020 - Both late additions lost. And of 33 candidates promoted by the Red to Blue program in total, only one was successful
2018 (closest comp) - Of nine candidates added in the final six weeks of campaigning, only Chris Pappas won (NH-1).
So the outlook for the six candidates added to the DCCC Red to Blue list last week seems pretty bleak.

New polling kink from @robcrilly @dcexaminer - Angry ex-Trumpers skewing results. But, he writes, the bottom line is this: 'To be clear, no one is saying Republicans are in danger of winning in November.' True dat.
And look at this Virginia analysis: Ugh
