your friend who isn't on X and hasn't heard a thing about cyber attacks, power grid outages, or stockpiling essentials:
slop accounts are writing AI generated "stories" because World of Warcraft is trending again after years being dunked on
old WoW raids had 0 mechanics it was just running against a wall with buddies on teamspeak
coordination and theorycrafting started in MOP
used to raid with my wow guild semi-professionally for 15+ years growing up, long before esports was even a thing.
i can tell you most people claiming they did “high-end raiding” are larping and have absolutely no idea what it took to actually be good at it.
it wasn’t just logging on and killing bosses.
it was hours of prep, theorycrafting, farming, studying mechanics, min-maxxing every tiny detail, getting yelled at by your raid leader on vent, and showing up consistently while 39 other people depended on you not to step into a void zone.
looking back, we spent an absurd amount of our childhoods wiping until 2am for a chance to spend our hard earned dkp for an additional purple pixel. and honestly, i wouldn’t trade those nights for anything.

The poster claims semi-professional WoW raiding for 15+ years "long before esports was even a thing," but later stated they stopped playing since Mists of Pandaria (2012) and WoW launched in 2004; esports tournaments began in 1972.

This was the promised airdrop bros.
You either took the deal, or you’ll never get a taste of the airdrop.
