BASH: The worry is that we end up in a situation where President Trump tries to overturn the election and the result of that could be like what we saw after January 6--
BLANCHE: Stop it! You gotta stop it with that! That's crazy
BASH: This is a president who has a history

THIS IS HUGE: Dana Bash just pressed Todd Blanche on whether Trump is laying the groundwork to overturn the election, and the attorney general lost his cool
Dana Bash asked the question a lot of Americans have been waiting for someone to ask, and Attorney General Todd Blanche came apart on live television.
On CNN's State of the Union on Sunday, Bash pressed Blanche on the Justice Department's lawsuit to block certification of the Alaska Senate race if the Republican doesn't win, according to Mediaite. It's a lawsuit Trump himself said was filed at his behest.
Bash pointed to Trump's Truth Social post claiming Democrats are trying to steal the seat. She told Blanche the president was admitting it's political, and she asked him straight out whether he sees his job as helping Republicans keep the seat.
Blanche didn't have an answer. He snapped back that Trump wasn't admitting anything and that the president is supposed to make sure everything in the country is running right.
So Bash widened the lens.
She reminded him that just a couple of days earlier, Blanche himself had used the phrase doomsday scenario. Then she asked the question out loud: are Trump and the Justice Department laying the groundwork for a scenario in which Trump tries to overturn the election, with a result that could look like what the country saw after January 6th?
Blanche exploded. Oh, stop it, he told her. You are not being a real person. Come on man, that is crazy.
Bash didn't flinch. It is not crazy, she said.
Blanche insisted the department was only worried about fraud in Alaska. Bash answered him calmly: I wish it wasn't a real question.
She kept going anyway. If you're laying the groundwork for the president to try to overturn an election he doesn't like, she said, there is concern.
That's the job. A powerful official didn't want to hear it, and she asked it again until he had to respond.
Dana Bash did what the best journalists do. She asked the question the attorney general didn't want to answer, and she didn't back down when he got angry.
That is what real journalism looks like.
So former President Obama saying trump is making the WH look like a Cheesecake Factory is elitist and classist but the current president building a ballroom and having his team out here telling people to eat liver because they can't afford beef is ok?????

My article on AUKUS.
AUKUS is about madness, militarism and money. Turning Australia into a US military base, sacrificing our sovereignty, and enriching retired politicians, military and public servants while battlers struggle to put food on the table

David Speers on his 'social media is a large part of the problem' narrative and he is put in his place by Mark Kenny who responded that one can't ignore the role of MSM which thrives on outrage and division. And sadly 'our ABC' has become a haven for this click bait.

Brazil’s election is in the balance — but Lula has some impressive supporters.
Julian #Assange:
“Without the ability to say no to Washington and Tel Aviv, there can be no domestic policy, only foreign instructions.
“Those orders are always the same:
"Expand our theft of resources and wages, and keep your mouths shut about us murdering children".
Lula vs. Bolsonaro: I was held in solitary confinement for 1,901 days for revealing the truth about the U.S. government's killings and espionage, including against Brazil and its industries. Out of power, Lula fought for my freedom. In power, Lula discussed my persecution with Pope Francis, who decided to meet with my family and offer help. After my release, Lula and I met in Rome to mourn the Holy Father's passing. Lula was kind to my children and asked for nothing in return. In contrast, Jair and Flávio Bolsonaro did nothing and said nothing. Yet without the ability to say no to Washington and Tel Aviv, there can be no domestic policy, only foreign instructions. Those orders are always the same: "Expand our theft of resources and wages, and keep your mouths shut about us murdering children." Sellouts will surrender everything in exchange for a cut, even their own tongues.
EL-SAYED: I get that the President takes personal offense to my first name. He doesn't mind as much when it's the Saudis who are funding his son-in-law's private equity. Doesn't seem to mind as much when it's the Qataris who are giving them a $400 million private jet. He just seems to have trouble pronouncing it when it's my name.
I don't care how he pronounces my name. I don't even care that he remembers my whole name. Because he can just go on and call me senator after November.

One of the highlights of my time in Jordan was visiting UNWRA archives and examining the index cards and other records of the 750,000 Palestinians kicked off their land at the Nakba in 1948. They used to be kept in Gaza and were airlifted out at the beginning of the genocide- Israel has destroyed all the archives that remained. They form the best evidence for some form of reparations in the future and are now being scanned and digitalised

Gaza and the Turning of History: The Middle East Before and After ARDD Organizes William Dalrymple’s Visit to UNRWA Archives and High-Level Dialogue on Palestine
للمزيد: ardd-jo.org/news/%d8%ba%d8%b…
The Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), through its Renaissance Strategic Center (RSC), organised, under the theme “Gaza and the Turning of History: The Middle East Before and After,” a visit to the UNRWA Photo and Film Archives with renowned British historian and author William Dalrymple, alongside a high-level working lunch bringing together diplomats, academics, policymakers, and regional experts to reflect on Gaza and Palestine within the broader historical and political transformations shaping the Middle East.
During the visit to the UNRWA Archives, facilitated in cooperation with UNRWA, Dalrymple explored historical records documenting Palestinian displacement, refugee experiences, and collective memory since 1948. Recognized by UNESCO’s Memory of the World Programme, the archives underscore the importance of preserving Palestinian history, identity, and the experiences of generations of refugees.

Once again, I live in Ukraine, and I have never met a soldier or a civilian who is fighting for Zelenskyy.
Ukrainians resist because our country was invaded, because russian occupation means kidnapped children, executed civilians, torture chambers, mass graves, rape, and looting. Our soldiers defend their families, their culture, their civilians, and their future, not the president.

My radical suggestion is that Jess Wilson release her costings before people vote.
