And yet, despite the fact that the UK has got (by far) the better end of the deal and are holding an inquiry; here in Australia (with the worst end of the deal) both sides of politics are opposed to any review. abc.net.au/news/2025-04-03/b…

Excellent new @FT #Brexit movie “We Need To Talk About Brexit” 🙌 shows how hard it is for those who believed in Brexit to admit it was a bad decision. They can talk about being disappointed by how it turned out.

Yes I wonder what's most important. The fact that one of the US presidential candidates is a bit doddery, or the fact that the other one is a deranged fucking lunatic. It's so hard to tell.

2020: Paraic O'Brien, "About £9 billion in PPE contracts went to companies that were either run by friends or associates of politicians in the Conservative party. Or to companies with either no prior experience or a history of controversy"
2024: Sky News, "Nearly £10 billion written off value of PPE bought during COVID pandemic"
The Conservative party made a political decision to award contracts to their friends, and almost the same value of PPE is useless and unusable. They profiteered during a pandemic. We need to recover every single penny, and we should be prosecuting the politicians who allowed this disgraceful robbery of the public purse to award their friends and associates.
