We're the YC alumni launching Foundry
We create, grow and operate franchise systems - helping local businesses become the next McDonald's
Franchising is a massive part of the economy, but it's been gatekept by expensive, regulated, diverse human knowledge work
Until now...

New 30 km/h area speed limit signs will be posted at neighbourhood entry and exit points. Once you enter a signed area, the 30 km/h speed limit applies throughout the local road network until you leave that area.
Slower speeds help reduce the risk of serious collisions and make neighbourhood streets safer.

A full-circle moment in Las Vegas history. ✨
Tonight, two generations of Las Vegas visionaries came face to face.
Following @NeonMuseum’s “Reflections of the Mirage”, @DerekJStevens met Steve Wynn, the man whose vision helped shape modern Las Vegas and inspired Derek’s own journey in building #CircaLasVegas.
From the visionary who redefined the Strip to the man revitalizing Downtown, this was more than an introduction.
A moment of mutual admiration, respect, and a shared love for Las Vegas. đź’™

There are certainly limits to a mayor’s power but a mayor can at minimum ensure that streetcars are not permitted to become rolling homeless shelters.

I doubt anyone wants more mass immigration but the whole show collapses when the main savings vehicle Canadians use get decimated, so they have to use rapid population growth to keep prices up

The country asked, rather politely, almost 2 years ago, that Ms. Freeland never speak for the Canadian collective ever again. There was unanimous applause when she was no longer Finance Minister. And her Leadership run is truly one of the most notable flops in recent Canadian political history (7.9%!!!). I believe that still holds true. Don't speak for us. Don't ever.
Canadians think America “is toxic and broken and can never be trusted again,” Chrystia Freeland, the former Deputy Prime Minister, tells David Remnick, and they’re seeking allies abroad. newyorker.com/podcast/the-ne…
Selling 49% of AFC Richmond supposedly made Rebecca a billionaire
This would suggest Mae - who apparently owned 2% of the club - had $20,000,000 liquid to buy her shares
This strike me as unrealistic

we put on a broadway musical about accounts payable.
slate called it "a glorified ad for a tech company." correct. it was also the most fun we've ever had as a company.
the part i didn't expect was what happened after. a flood of messages from theater folks in new york saying it meant the world to them. billy porter told the crowd that industrials like this paid his rent for decades, until they disappeared in the early 2000s.
for most of the last century, when a company had something to say, it hired composers, choreographers and actors. somewhere along the way we decided marketing should be cheap, measurable and forgettable.
i hope more companies lose their minds a little. make something people feel.

The contrast between hanging up the last phone call of the day of high-stakes decisions and then a minute later walking in the door to the pure love of small children who want to laugh and play and show you every discovery they made that day is the strangest and best thing I have ever experienced in life.

if my child gets out of bed one. more. time. I’m gonna kiss his forehead and tuck him into his little pillow fort birds nest we made and sing the goodnight song and be patient and kind because he’s not even been around the sun five whole times yet and surely this is the greatest privilege of my insignificant life to hold his hand on the way back to bed

Tony Schiavone’s unwavering, wholesome excitement towards pro wrestling despite the circumstances of the event is really cool and helps ease the pain a lot in my opinion. Excalibur’s emotions are a representation of us all, Schiavone sort of serves as the happy guide we need to get us through the night

Tony Schiavone offers such a unique thing for AEW and he’s such an integral part of it. The professionalism he shows every time they have to do a tribute show. Bless him.

Today we’re launching America.gov, a single front door to the federal government.
Instead of opening a bunch of tabs across different agency sites and trying to figure out which information actually matters to you, you can ask America a question and get the relevant answer from across 29,000+ official government websites, with the source and what to do next.

It’s so weird.
Under Section 315 of the Communications Act, TV channels cannot change political ads, even to fact check.
But the evil man in this movie is “evil”because he won’t do what TV stations, radio stations, and billboards also don’t do?
I’m so confused by this movie…
