You like polyrhythms? Name every one. 1:2…99:100 Spectral polyrhythm. Everything (pitch, amplitude, spacing, note size, etc.) is represented on a logarithmic scale

Hello internet. Are there any startups that let me easily buy European Emissions Trading Scheme carbon permits with a credit card (and preferably via API) the way I can buy various rando offsets right now? I’m struggling to find one, but this *must* exist, right?

When we say Kyiv is winning the information war, far too often we only mean information spaces we inhabit. Pulling apart the most obvious RU info op to date (as we did using semantic modelling), very clear it is targeting BRICS, Africa, Asia. Not the West really at all.

River Irwell Defenders Klaxon: please help save a public right of way. New developments will close the towpath and privatise access, replacing it with permissive route without a waterside view that can be closed to the public at any time. DEADLINE 12 OCT info follows in thread:

I analysed the results of the scraping work by @billpg in detail, and compared it to results from Wikidata. So how does Wikidata hold up to scraping Wikipedia? Corrections and discussions welcome. simia.net/wiki/Wikidata_or_s…
I am completely flabbergasted by the discussion here: news.ycombinator.com/item?id… A person wrote a spider and scraper, crawling over thousands of pages of HTML, checked links and names, went through the data, needed to do quite a bit of data cleansing, etc. All valiant and great.

Fancy a job in #opendata? The @ons project I'm working on is recruiting tech leads (civilservicejobs.service.gov…) and architects (civilservicejobs.service.gov…)
Hello twitter friends, please allow me to offer a weekend thread on how the WAR ON MOTORISTS works in the mainstream media. Remember this story from back in May? It got VERY wide coverage across a range of media outlets: LTNs help violent criminals escape the police 1/n

I love having CSV but don't always love working with it! We've been using the new(ish) @w3c standard for "CSV on the Web" at @Swirrl and I'm quite excited by the potential for having linked-data in familiar tabular formats.
