If anyone makes a spurious rebuttal of the UK Supreme Court judgement today, that the definition of sex is determined by biology, please quote them what the court says about language:
"The best way of ensuring that a coherent, stable and workable outcome is achieved is to adopt an approach to the meaning of a statute that is constant and predictable. This will be achieved if the legislation is construed according to the ordinary meaning of the words used."
Chuffed I was able to pick this up today. Tote bag included. Signed as well. Looking forward to a good winter read @DeadInkBooks

Could the draft Conversion Practices Bill chill legitimate journalism? Parliament, Ofcom, press regulators and the EHRC must clarify protections for factual reporting. Julie Bindel’s investigation into Stephen Ireland shows why independent scrutiny matters wp.me/pfzAIZ-4jO

Having watched the oral evidence it is clear joint committee are, so far, only interested in hyperbolic support for #ConversionPracticesDraftBill
Detransitioners & lesbians have not been invited
The Draft Bill needs proper scrutiny, not the travesty we have had

Happy days at Guardian Towers. Remind me, which columnists did Kath Viner drive out of the paper? Talcum X? Russell the Rapist? Oh, I remember now. It was the feminists. All three of us:

Stonewall's grubby finger prints are all over the tyrannical conversion bill. The fact they still enjoy government access despite consistently misrepresenting the law and pushing for mad gender nonsense is frankly appalling.

Really comprehensive explanation of the Conversion Practices Bill by @Jebadoo2. I would think that parenting, teaching and social stewardship is exactly the process of shaping and fostering the character and identity of children? This bill smashes that purpose. It’s an embarrassment 🤦🏻♂️

There was a moment today when Jayne Ozanne was cheerfully outlining to Danny Beales MP which types of prayer she found ‘acceptable’ & which might need to be criminalised, and I think he had a flicker of a realisation of what is happening….

By pretending the #ConversionPracticesDraftBill is not a harmful bill built on lies about it’s need & the harm it will cause to parents, teachers, therapists & children Labour is showing it cares only for itself not the country and ordinary people.

If legislators in the UK give credence to this nonsense, the harm they will cause will be immense. The Conversion Practices Bill is based on outlandish fantasies of a cult of gender activists and would be an embarrassment to any government that tried to pass it!
Revealing exchange with @NazShahBfd
She asks Ms Ozanne about an 11 year old girl who wants to bind her breasts & her parents refuse to purchase the binder.
“It’s so difficult talking in the abstract” says Ozanne “I can’t give you a direct answer”
This is a CRIMINAL law

Their parents knew "from the moment they picked up a toy - I don't want to stereotype..."
But you just did. Picking up "the wrong toy" can set a child on the path to puberty blocking, sterilisation, mutilation.

The distinction isn't between 'trans' and 'cis'. It's between men who want to force their way into spaces where women and girls are vulnerable, and those who don't. The former, as any nine-year-old can understand, are far more likely to be a danger to women than the men who accept that women's safety, dignity and privacy means they should stay out of those spaces. The distinction isn't between men who claim to be women and those who don't, it's the difference between men who respect women's boundaries - trans-identified or not - and those who don't. As the old saying goes, 'good men stay out so bad men stand out.'
