No they really did not think you would do a better job than any of their own MPs and if for a nano second they did, well that says a great deal about the paucity of talent amongst Tory MPs and that act alone would inform everyone why they should never vote Tory again.
They gave you the place as part of a deal for you to blunt Reforms vote in order to keep the Conservative party on life support.
You may have negotiated a peerage for yourself as part of the deal in the same way you reportedly requested one from Dougie Smith in 2019 when you stood down on the morning the G election was called.
Only, Dougie Smith forgot to tell you, he couldn’t deliver.
Maybe you asked for the committee place as a consolation prize ?

It is also blindingly obvious that you’ve been told to stop praising Kemi and the Conservatives and to make it less obvious there’s a pact in the week the penny has dropped with the wider public and it’s started to get messsy.

I'm a @RestoreBritain member and it's how I intend to vote. I'm not 100% percent in agreement with everything they say, but pretty close.
They are doing what a political party should do, have an agenda and attract people who broadly agree.
I've seen a few posts tonight calling for Restore and Reform to work together. Absolutely, they should.
I feel Reform need to really nail down their policies though. I don't really follow them, which might explain why, from what I've seen, their policies don't seem mature enough and appear to change. I have an opinion on why, but that's not helpful at the moment...
Once both parties have definitive policies, only then can they consider a pact, with give and take on both sides.
I doubt either Reform or Restore members would be entirely happy, but the outcome would be much better than the alternatives.

In principle I suppose, but when foreigners can vote, and are told what to vote by their community is it really democracy?
1 person, 1 vote, not 1 community (or religious) leader 100's or thousands of votes.

They have dropped far more than Restore has gained.

Follow a party and their policies, not a party leader. I'm fully behind @RupertLowe10, but @RestoreBritain is much more than one man, even though he is the inspiration behind the party.
I think this is the problem with @reformparty_uk, they follow @Nigel_Farage , not the party or policies.

Nous sommes confrontés à un acte d’une gravité extrême et qui par son caractère raciste avéré marque un tournant pour notre pays.
Monsieur Pengo Bossio Wangi a perdu la vie. Cinq autres personnes sont en urgence absolue, dont une petite fille qui lutte pour survivre. Nous pensons à chacune et chacun d’entre eux, à leurs proches, à leurs familles. Nous leur devons le soutien, l’affection et la solidarité de toute la Nation.
Ce qui s’est passé aujourd’hui nous oblige. J’ai redit ce soir le soutien de la Nation à toutes les victimes et à leurs familles. J’ai également rappelé notre détermination absolue à poursuivre le combat contre le racisme, sous toutes ses formes.
Je veux aussi rappeler une vérité essentielle et éviter toute polémique : notre pays a connu, ces dernières années, des attentats qui ont frappé des chrétiens parce qu’ils étaient chrétiens et des juifs parce qu’ils étaient juifs. Aucune de ces victimes ne doit être oubliée. Aucune douleur ne doit être hiérarchisée. Et je veux que rien, ce soir, ne vienne ajouter à la peine des familles, à la tristesse du pays et au recueillement de la nation.
Notre combat est celui de l’universalisme, celui de la République, celui de notre unité et de notre cohésion. Il n’y a rien de plus important ce soir.
Une France unie qui pleure ses enfants, qui accompagne les victimes et leurs proches.
Une France qui combat le racisme, l’antisémitisme et toutes les formes de haine et de persécution fondées sur la religion ou la couleur de peau.
C’est cette France que nous devons défendre. C’est pour son unité, pour la sécurité de chacune et de chacun, et pour les valeurs qui nous rassemblent que je me battrai jusqu’au bout.
