Recently, in a project I’m working on, we’ve faced a challenge to rewrite some parts of our UI. Along the way, we were wondering if we could incorporate TypeScript, because the project is JavaScript's wild west.
It turned out to be really easy to drop in TS in CRA - create-react-app.dev/docs/ad…. I need to admit that I’m enjoying the ride with TS guidance and gradual typing so far (including slapping me in my face, when I’m doing something wrong).
For the ones running on webpack, @aleksandrasays made a supercool talk on various static typing languages, how we can incorporate and benefit from them. It includes a recipe on how to add TS (and others) in existing app. Highly recommend! youtu.be/oQFkvEoh1BA
