It's been a pure joy playing this. This game really benefits from modern technology. Smooth as butter!
Up for another challenge? 👀 Falco Lombardi is the ace pilot of the #StarFox Mercenary Squad. Star Fox is available now on #NintendoSwitch2! Play now: ninten.do/6015voaGB

Dev thoughts: I've come to understand that when I hyper-focus on the game's skeleton (the basic structure of the game) exclusively, the development proceeds smoothly. When I allow myself to get distracted by tangential (though important) items, things get stuck in the mud.

Now playing: Expedition 33, Metroid Prime 4, and various shmups. Still making slow progress on Metal Gear Delta.

Silksong is looking like one of the big megahits (if not *the* hit) of 2025. From an Australian indie studio that started off with a tiny Kickstarter way back in 2014. This industry is still special, folks.

Even in 2025, #Prey2 stuff still resonates. As a game designer on that game, it remains the coolest game I've worked on. I know that cancelled games always seem to get better in everyone's minds over time, but this game rocked. timeextension.com/news/2025/…

I dislike the framing of MGSV as "unfinished" or flawed. Software development is always messy. The sum total of the parts here = the greatest game I have ever played. inverse.com/gaming/metal-gea…

lol, one reason I limit how much vidya commentary I digest on the daily is I get to miss fake nontroversies. I was perfectly happy with my Metal Gear Delta special edition. I think it’s cool as heck. And I don’t need permission from games media to think so :)

*blows dust off account* Hello! Another wonderful academic year has begun! PLAY DEATH STRANDING 2. That is all (for now). ;) (oh, and consider purchasing APPLIED GAME HISTORY for your vidya history needs!) he.kendallhunt.com/product/a…

Keep going, king :)
Today, I turned 62 years old. I received many birthday messages, illustrations, etc. from all over the world. Thank you so much. I intend to continue creating things for as long as I live. My stance on "creation" is to “not overwork” and to "take it easy,” and I will continue to give it my all even after my 60’s. I will keep taking care of my health on a daily basis. Thank you for your continued support 🙏🙇🏻👍🫶😍🎬🎮

I finished Emio, which I found a little underwhelming. Finished Ys 1 and 2, which were pretty great! Have not gotten to Space Marin 2 yet because I'm playing Lost Judgment, which I'm finding very enjoyable.
Every once in awhile I pop back in here to make sure that nobody has hacked the account to post crypto stuff or whatever (lol). What I've been playing: Emio The Smiling Man (Switch, Famicom Detective Club) and Ys 2 (From Ys 1 and 2 Chronicles on PSP). On Deck: Space Marine 2

*blows dust off account* Glad to see no NFT shilling or bots controlling it, that's a relief!
