It’s a duty of any news outlet covering or citing Bellingcat to inform its audience that Bellingcat is funded by the US and UK governments, as well as several spook firms that profit off of US regime change wars. Let’s see if @60Minutes does that. thegrayzone.com/2021/10/09/b…
“I feel it’s almost my duty, that when we’re faced with all this information showing terrible things that are happening, to put it out there,” Bellingcat founder Higgins says of the work his group does, including exposing alleged war crimes in Ukraine. cbsn.ws/3Mga04b

I know it's awkward, but if Democrats are going to insist on using Ukraine for a proxy war against Russia, they're going to have to own the fact that they're allying with neo-Nazis like Ukraine's Azov Battalion -- which uses the same white supremacist symbol.
There’s a lot of disinformation already about the mass shooter in Buffalo, NY. To be clear, he didn’t have an “Azov Battalion symbol” in his manifesto — it’s a sonnenrad (black sun), which is a common white supremacist symbol.

It truly is absurd that pro-life people aren’t all in on sex ed & contraception since they massively reduce the number of abortions

OPINION | It might be easy to write these people off as cranks, but they have accrued tens or in some cases hundreds of thousands of followers and donors. Perhaps more importantly, they have gained influence despite their long history of bad acts. trib.al/xSZYbEN

I can’t decide if this is cringey or creepy.
This Post is from an account that no longer exists. Learn more
Odd that CNN didn’t seek any additional information about this “private military contracting company” that apparently sent off a 22-year-old American to fight and die in Ukraine. Such as, you know, maybe the name of the company

Billionaires be like “the extreme far left is taking over” when the “extreme far left” in the US is “medicine shouldn’t bankrupt you,” “wages should cover rent,” & “maybe it’s bad that Wall St companies profit off mass surveillance, manufactured housing crises, and caging people”

From the Pew Research Center:

Prior to the invasion of Iraq, weapons inspector Scott Ritter correctly warned Saddam had no active WMD program. Joe Biden, as Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair, falsely insisted he did and thus vehemently advocated for the war. Watch how Biden treated Ritter:
Watch #Biden in 2002 as he mocks US Marine Scott Ritter, calling him "Scotty Boy" and grinning as he repeats "it's above your pay grade." @kthalps @aaronjmate See the full interview: usefulidiots.substack.com/p/…

JFC this is creepy. The Ministry of Truth is here.
I’m blocked by the head of Joe Biden’s new “Disinformation Governance Board.” Is there someone else from the government who can tell me whether I’m spreading the right information? 🤞🏼
Imagine rejecting a policy entirely on the grounds that ppl on the internet were mean to you. This is more immature than those who sent these messages.
And suddenly, I still don’t want to pay off other people’s loans 🤷‍♀️
If that was a Russian soldier and a Ukranian kid, this would be circulated in mass media 24/7 and Congressmembers would be expressing shock and outrage while calling for action to stop it. But the boy is Palestinian, so there will be no outrage and no calls to action. Why?

White House fact-sheet says part of the mammoth $33 billion spending package it's requesting for Ukraine will be to "support independent media." Because nothing screams "independent" like being directly funded by the US Government as part of its "information warfare" initiative

At least there’s some good news out of Yemen
Replying to @YemenData
Week three of the ceasefire in Yemen: a third consecutive week with no Saudi coalition air raids recorded. Ceasefire still holds in the air war.
3. Not because they favor Russia (they largely don't), but because they will not make painful sacrifices to uphold an order that the US itself has been at the forefront of eroding and that put the US above international law. I wrote about it here: msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opin…

This is an all-time classic of TV news non-disclosure, in which Joe Scarborough goes out of his way to tell viewers about former Homeland Security chief Jeh Johnson's "side gig" as a DJ -- leaving out his other "side gig" as a board member at Lockheed: taibbi.substack.com/p/the-ge…
"Morning Joe" never tells viewers that their expert urging more weapons to Ukraine also sits on the board of directors of Lockheed Martin, the largest military contractor in the world—an obvious conflict of interest. BUT they will tell you about his side-gig as a DJ...🤦‍♀️

You know what would be great is #RankedChoiceVoting so that there’s no spoiler effect and people can vote for whomever they want with no fear of ‘wasting their vote’ or ‘helping someone win.’ Modernity not suppression. @Fwd_Party
