To those of you who helped put a maniac into The White House to 'own the libs' and 'bathe in liberal tears', do let us know when you start having doubts.
Suggestions:
- Get something else to think about - not politics
- Put the phone down
- Get off this site
- Get away from Thurrock
- Get out into the countryside
- Do a ten-day (free) course here: uk.dhamma.org/
Key facts missed...
a) the Sunak Rwanda scheme is nothing like those schemes being proposed by the Europeans which will only send migrants whose asylum claim has legally failed.
b) the European schemes still get stuck on the risk of migrants 'piling up' at the processing nation
'You're being facetious!'

Robert Jenrick now talking about using “lethal force” to stop the small boats. Reform have lost their minds.
🚨"Deploy the Royal Marines into the Channel. If they need to use lethal force then they'll be able to do so. I think the problem would come to an end within a matter of days."
@RobertJenrick says Reform is the only party with the "courage" to deal with the crisis.

I’m being named and shamed after being caught on camera saying racism is *bad*. This might be a first for a Tory conference.

If you adopt the position only white people can be English, that is by definition racist. It’s not really a debatable point.
You’ve called me racist this evening- albeit in a contorted way- but in doing so, you’ve lowered the tone of the debate with divisive and inflammatory language.
And absurdly, you’re suggesting that I’m being racist against myself.
It’s because of irresponsible language like yours that we in Reform need security.
The left can keep smearing us as racist for challenging the cosy consensus on mass migration but we will not be bullied into silence.
The stupidest suggestion in Britain right now is that Reform supporters are also the country's critical thinkers.
No, they make their first observation their conclusion. Genuine critical thinkers make the same first observation but they then delve several layers deeper.
This video has proved entirely wrong and is also hopelessly overtaken by events - men are British nationals and they've been released on bail.
If you believe anything Trump says, you are a moron.

Going to say it again. People speculating about Fairford are not fit for public office.
Even the GB News chap is thrown by his guest's suggestion that all asylum seekers be castrated. This is what happens when the narrative marches ever rightwards. It drifts out of everyone's control and requires individuals involved to suddenly realise 'no wait, f***, that's mad'
I reckon if someone made an AI-fake video of Farage on Newsnight saying these exact same words, viewers would not notice the trick that has been pulled on them.
“If everybody arriving in Britain knew that they were immediately going back to France, the numbers would stop immediately”.
Former Tory leadership contender, Rory Stewart, tells #Newsnight that the solution to the small boats issue lies in a return deal with France.
Kemi Badenoch says the Single Market is 'a great thing'.
Why?
'Well because it's a free trade area...'
I mean, if it is 'a great thing' and if she just doesn't like freedom of movement (as she does say), why is she and her party objecting to 'reset measures' like rejoining SPS arrangements?
Interesting that JRM should say this. It appears Conservatives are finally seeing where Rightist populism leads (to ethnonationalism) and so are drawing a line between themselves and Reform/Restore. Good.
(A cheaper post than this would have just shown that hotdog guy.)
The English people of 150 years ago were made up of a blend of Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Scandinavian and French, but the precise mix would vary across individuals, just like in the Benelux countries - are they also ethnically English? Are Bretons and Normans English? Americans?
