Having worked across different industries, particularly tech and gaming, one thing stands out to me: Video games are creative works, built by people who invest their ideas, skills, and countless hours into bringing something to life. But building great games requires more than creative talent. It requires an environment where people can challenge ideas, receive constructive feedback, communicate openly, and feel that their contributions matter. High standards and accountability are essential. But neither requires disrespect, poor communication, or a culture where people feel they constantly have to prove their worth. A healthy culture doesn't mean avoiding difficult conversations. It means having them in a way that helps people and the work get better. You can't consistently build great things by overlooking the people who build them.
