This is must watch. It's from an oversight committee hearing in 2024. It is the most powerful takedown I believe I've ever seen. This is the real Byron Donalds when confronted. Jamie Raskin was masterful.

I’m struck by the concern that many American conservatives express about violence in France (and rightfully so) compared to the indifference they have regarding violence in another part of Europe, Ukraine. The violence in Ukraine is way worse than anything happening in France. Please recalibrate your commentary to reflect that asymmetry.

There's no more pretense. The shameful truth is now clear. By withholding critical Intel and Internet services, and lifting sanctions on Russia to replenish Putin's war machine, @realDonaldTrump & @elonmusk are now fully complicit. They're on Putin's side. nytimes.com/2026/10/14/world… via @NYTimes

Let’s not forget how this war started. Trump tore up a nuclear agreement that prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Six years later, Trump was convinced by a war criminal to bomb that same country, that every other intelligent president before him refused, while it was still not working towards a nuclear weapon. Remember, Darlene doesn’t know Jack shit about the job she’s currently holding. She admitted that herself. And this proves it.
Darline Graham just blamed the war in Iran on the democrats. "Let's not forget how this war started, under the democrats with Iran almost having a nuclear weapon"

Andrews: My opponent is the only one on this stage who had the opportunity to vote to end the war. But three times in a row, she voted to continue it. And several days after one of those votes, she had the audacity to walk out onto this stage and admit that national security isn't really her thing.

The spectacular Schmitt Hawks/Hawkeyes humiliation is obviously great content. But also, the point of Jack Smith’s testimony was to remind America that Trump engaged in serious crimes against our country when he lied about, and tried to overturn, the 2020 election.
Jack Smith: "Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation ... rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 presidential election, President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power"

🎥 NEW: The Supreme Court ruled Friday that Trump can once again use a flawed database to help Republicans purge eligible voters from the rolls before the midterms. A grieving mother walks into Capitol Hill after Trump’s rogue agents killed her daughter. Every single Republican on the committee was invited to look her in the eye. Not ONE showed up. They talk tough on TV, but when a mother demands answers, they run and hide like terrified children. Disgusting. #TrumpsCorruptCongress dworkinsubstack.com/p/trump-…

Over the last 200 years, trade unionists have been jailed & even killed fighting for economic justice. But because of them, we have decent wages for millions, the 8-hour workday and the end of child labor. This Labor Day, let's continue the fight for an economy that works for all of us, not just the 1%.

American consumers PAID Trump's illegal tariffs because big business passed the costs down. Now companies like Under Armour are getting a windfall refund while consumers get NOTHING. Republicans allowed this to happen. Vote every one of their sorry asses OUT this November.
CNBC just noted that half of Under Armour's profit is coming from tariff refunds, and that broadly the refunds are propping up corporate profits. Weird those refunds aren't going to consumers. Also weird prices aren't coming down. Almost as if tariffs don't drive inflation.

"It's their fertilizer that's stranded, not our fertilizer." Try telling this to the majority of American farmers who can't afford the fertilizer they need because the Strait is closed. It’s a global commodity, of course it impacts us.

Heading to Europe this summer? Enjoy but beware if the Strait of Hormuz doesn't reopen soon — fuel shortages could throw a wrench in your best laid flight plans. Know your rights, know the alternatives, and be prepared. My latest for @WaPoTravel. washingtonpost.com/travel/20…

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.
