In a collaboration between @HerpeZ, @UCL_CCM and @NHSBartsHealth, researcher Rosalind @roro_micro has spent 3 weeks in Zambia helping to develop @nanopore #metagnomics for non-malarial febrile illness diagnosis from blood samples! @JohnTembo1982 @kathrynharris26 @LinzyElton
I had a great time telling colleagues about our study on the molecular diagnosis of Pneumocystis pneumonia today at #ESCMIDGlobal2024 – at Barcelona, Spain
1/3🦠Last week, members of the Infection Sciences department hosted an event to showcase the exciting innovations in pathogen sequencing that are going on at @NHSBartsHealth. This work aims to bring improved diagnostics to our service and enhance patient management.
3/3🦠We finished the event with a unique partnership between the local community and @londonsymphony, followed by some fun networking.
We hope that everyone enjoyed hearing about our work and public engagement and that this leads to some fruitful future collaboration!
