If I hadn't been continually exposed to progressives in real life I would be inclined to think these aren't representative of real life. As a child we used to have meetings in a church building as well as in our homes. In both cases we participated in cleaning. I have fond memories of wearing my thin black nylon socks and having Halls cough drops while cleaning. The feel of my feet in the socks on freshly vacuumed rug. The rubbery sort smell of the old hoover. The vaguely medicinal taste of the cough drops. My grandmother's perfume. Man i wish I could recreate it all. Eating was against the rule but cough drops were a sort of work around. We would also use pledge polish and in recall the smell of the polish and how slippery we'd be in our dress pants and dress socks. There was a wooden bench that we could slide across once it was polished. Also the tiles in the kitchen were great for sliding. I'm contemplating getting some fresh nylon socks and some cough drops for cleaning my apartment. I wonder if I could find my grandmother's perfume.

I was using AI to explore job possibilities and the problem i'm noticing is a lot of positions that could work are adjunct. Now since i currently have a position, doing adjunct teaching at another university would be totally fine. But the catch is that the universities are too far to drive to. Also, it wouldn't make sense to relocate for an adjunct only position.
