Remember, academic #leadership isn't about you & your ego. It is about giving back. It is about helping your colleagues achieve success. It is about mentorship. It is about service to the institution. The best leaders are the ones who can most effectively set their ego aside.

This paper highlights a major and reluctantly talked about problem(s) that continually impair the achievements sought through the use of eHealth
Delighted and honored to partner with C. Sunny Huang, @cravenck @rosskoppel and Richard Schreiber on a just-published @ACI_Journal article about #EHR to #EHR transition challenges and success factors @GeisingerCwlth @MountSinaiNYC @PennMedicine thieme-connect.com/products/…

New study: Before the warnings (1990-2002), US teen suicide deaths decreased markedly. After the warnings (2005-2017) and abrupt declines in treatment, this downward trend reversed. Similar effects occurred in young adults.

How did these warnings come to be? In this @statnews News First Opinion, @rosskoppel and I address the FDA undisclosed non-financial conflicts of interest that contributed to dismissing the powerful evidence of harms to young people. bit.ly/3lmNwAv 3/5

Not to worry @JRubinBlogger. Surely Pennsylvania’s independent voice @SenToomey will do the right thing and insist on #COVID19 testing for all @USSenate personnel, including chair @LindseyGrahamSC, before Monday’s events can safely begin, no? Anything less would be #reckless 👇
Opinion: Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination is stained by the GOP’s recklessness on covid-19 wapo.st/2GVxWgc

The parallels between @RalphNader’s book “Unsafe at Any Speed: the designed in dangers of the automobile industry” & #EHR safety are uncanny! From the need for human factors to why industry won’t move on safety—-it’s incredible. @TerryFairbanks @DBatesSafety @HardeepSinghMD

Cheap, fast tests were all the rage but we seemed to have moved on Lets not move on Every day, I think how different our lives would be if these tests were available The technology exists We can make them But we won't. Because we're still thinking about testing the wrong way
Can cheap, at-home rapid tests help deal with the #COVID19 testing backlog and keep infections down? @AkshaySyal reports Watch NOW: nbcnews.com/NOW

Yes. Zoom fatigue, sense of alienation from the process and the product (pace Hegel and Marx), people alternating between camera on and off, mics on or off. Not knowing if your audience is there, doing email, laundry, on the phone, awake, alive....

This is no surprise. Fascism is expert at silencing critics, particularly the “intelligentsia.” At this rate, some of those critics, including physicians, could be in jail before 2020’s end! That’s our current trajectory...

This pandemic is full of hit and miss. To continue to use the word science implies solution. The “practice” of medicine is just that. And the FDA and CDC have a lot of skeletons in their closets and trust of them is low. The Zelenko protocol is valid. Pharma rules and Dr’s $.

The mounting smear campaign against Fauci is as deceitful as it is frightening. It is an effort to destroy his credibility for daring to present the distressing but inconvenient reality of the danger of the pandemic and the necessity for the federal govt to act. #IStandWithFauci
The insanity of this piece aside, theres no better proof of the incompetence & dishonesty of Navarro than his new op-ed in USA Today. He makes sweeping statements with links to prove his point - and HIS links *disprove* what is saying. Yes, he's lying../1 usatoday.com/story/opinion/t…
