We just met the most wonderful @WestJet employee, Karen, at the YWG airport. Not only was she sympathetic to our cancelled flight yesterday (0-1/8SM FG), but she took the time to help us rebook a more direct flight to YEG this morning. Please pass along our huge thanks!!

Replying to @ryanwunsch @BadWeatherKyle
The swath was closer to 650 km (π€―) from South Calgary to south of Moose Jaw. Apps that use single site radars usually cut off parts of it outside of their range.

Don't do this. Official weather warnings in Canada are issued by Environment Canada only.
Other parties can & should rebroadcast OFFICIAL warnings to reach as many people as possible. Confusion in emergency situations as to the validity of warnings is dangerous #skstorm #abstorm

There have been *so many* great talks/presentations at #AMS2025.
Iβve been jumping back and forth between zoom meetings, having to pick and choose which ones to watch live - no small feat! Iβm just so grateful everything is being recorded; anything missed can be revisited later
Hubby and I have been trying to figure out where this mountain-lake photograph was taken for the past 30 mins. Any thoughts?? Itβs being featured at @FlyYEG airport between Gates 56 and 58
Look we found at the Butterdome! Such a pleasure meeting you in person @CraigHilts71 β€οΈ

The CSSL held a symposium on severe storms to coincide with the CSSL launch - and it was a fantastic multidisciplinary event with invited speakers from five continents. If you were not able to watch in real time, we have made a recording available - see uwo.ca/cssl/news.html

Congratulations to my friends up north on the inauguration of the Canadian Severe Storms Lab! Their work not only will contribute to better understanding of severe storms and their effects in #Canada, but everywhere. Storms donβt respect human borders!
