Here are some screens from 5.3.0
- Multi Question cards.
- Dynamic Interactive pages/dashboards/lists generated online
- New in-app browser shared between you and Row-Bot with your logged in sessions.
Row-Bot 5.3.0 is out.
Biggest one: the browser now lives inside the app. You watch it work live, take control, give it back. It keeps you signed in across restarts, and when a site wants a password or a card number it stops and you type it. It never does.
Computer use got rebuilt from scratch. Real mouse and keyboard, it checks the window after every step, Esc kills it instantly. Touch the mouse and it pauses and asks.
Also:
- pages: it builds small interactive pages next to the chat (plans, checklists, calculators). They run sandboxed, no network, no access to your files or chats
- Auto approvals are now reviewed by the chat's own model. Anything that doesn't clearly match what you asked comes back to you
- new chats send about 40% less to the model before your first message. On a ChatGPT plan about 95% of that first request comes from the provider's cache
- if a local model writes a tool call its runtime can't read, it gets asked once more instead of the reply dying
- incognito chats, Outlook through your own Entra app, several X accounts
If you're on 5.2.1 it updates in the background. Only the changed parts download, and you can roll back from Settings.
Still local first. Still free. Bring your own model.

Row-Bot 5.3.0 is out for Windows, macOS and Linux.
What changed:
Browser in the app. A pane next to the chat shows the page live, with tabs and Take control / Give back. It stays signed in across restarts. It asks before paying, sending, posting, deleting or uploading, and never types passwords, codes or card numbers.
Computer use, rebuilt. Real mouse and keyboard, a check after every step, a Stop bar on screen and Esc to end it.
Pages and questions. Interactive pages beside the chat run sandboxed, with no internet and no access to your chats, files or tools. Question cards work in the app and in Telegram, Discord, Slack and WhatsApp.
Approvals. Auto is now reviewed by the chat's own model. Hands-off is a new opt-in level. Anything posted to X always needs you.
Lighter context. About 40% less goes to the model before your first message. Tool guides load when they're needed.
Background work. Dev servers and long jobs run in the background, video editing, and files sent to any of your devices.
Accounts. Outlook through your own Microsoft Entra app with no client secret, several X accounts, and Claude through your own Claude Code.
Upgrading from 5.2.1: the update arrives in the background, then Settings › Updates › Restart now.

This has been built into Row-Bot from day 1. More that 6 months that is.
You can even edit/link memories with full in-app ui with visualization.
All refined automatically by the nightly dream cycle.
Free, open-source and built in, not bolted on.

Muse, Grok Bot, Instinct, Claude Duet. Everyone's building AI agents now.
Here's why @row_bot_ai is a better deal.
vs Muse: No Meta dependency. Your data, your machine.
vs Grok Bot: No xAI lock-in. Use whatever model you want, local or cloud.
vs Instinct: Not just a mobile assistant. Full computer use, browser automation, coding, multi-agent workflows.
vs Claude Duet: Run it locally or on your own VPS. No Anthropic subscription or managed VM required.
Plus long-term memory, knowledge graphs, MCP, skills, scheduled tasks, and a mobile app.
Free, open source, works with any model.
Not claiming it beats everything at every task. But you get a hell of a lot more control without being locked into another company's ecosystem.

This is exactly what Row-Bot is built for. And it will keep your data private on top of that.

Has anyone actually gotten a personal AI agent to reliably finish complex work?
I've wasted 10+ hours on ChatGPT Dots, Muse, and Grok Bot trying to make them useful.
They promise autonomy. I get blockers and email summaries.
Meanwhile, Claude Code CLI just works when I stay in the session.
Am I using these agents wrong, or is this everyone's experience?
Row-Bot 5.2 is out. I wrote up what changed and how it works:
- Updates download only what changed: 5.2.0 to 5.2.1 was an 8.5 MB code part, not a 730 MB installer
- The new version is prepared and self-tested next to the running one, then switched on restart in seconds
- If a version fails to start, it goes back to the previous one on its own
- Every update file is checked against a SHA-256 list in the release notes
- Windows installs per user, no admin rights, and the installer is 420 MB (was 731 MB)
- Requests keep a stable start for prompt caching, old tool output is cleared in steps, and every model call records its tokens and cost
- Any device you sign in from can do what the desktop app can, including backups and Google sign-in
- 5.2.1 fixes documents, Computer Use, skills and design exports on macOS
Local-first, no telemetry. Windows, macOS and Linux.

It might. But its also the worst way for an agent to carry out a task. Extremely slow and token burning. An API or MCP is way way better.

Row-Bot demo: month-end close, mid-month.
Riverside Goods (made up) takes card payments through Stripe. In Row-Bot 5.1, Stripe is connected as an app, and I set it to read only first, so it can look at the books but never change anything.
Then one request to GPT 6.1 Sol: close October so far, check the arithmetic with the calculator, and write it up in Notion.
It reads the month’s payments, refunds, declines, the dispute and Stripe’s fee records:
Sales: £1,295.00
Refunds: £97.00
Fees: £46.98
Dispute: £42 plus a £20 fee
Net: £1,089.02, checked against Stripe’s records
The four failed payments come with their reasons, and the dispute with its response deadline. Writing the Notion page asks first.
A second message makes it a monthly workflow at 08:00 on the 1st, plus a one-off VAT reminder at 09:00 on 31 October.
Free and open source, for Windows, macOS and Linux.

This is what a personal agent should be.
Private enough to give access to your sensitive business data.

Row-Bot demo: from an error alert to a pull request.
The shop’s nightly summary job crashed on orders from the till: their timestamps are numbers, and the code expected strings. Sentry caught it.
I sent one message to Row-Bot, running GPT 6.1 Sol: find what broke, log it in Linear, reproduce it with a failing test, fix it, and open a draft PR.
It read the Sentry event and the code, then filed the Linear issue. In a Docker sandbox with the network off, it wrote a test that fails with the same TypeError, made a small fix, and ran the suite: 7 of 7 pass. Then it committed, pushed, opened draft PR #11 and linked it on the issue.

A personal agent should actually be personal. Not a data exfiltrating black box running on some company's servers.
Install Row-Bot and do whatever the hell you want.
JPMorgan Chase just blocked Instinct and Muse
We’ve now seen blocking as an official policy (or at least reported behavior by users) from: Amazon, Yelp, Resy, United, eBay and so many more
However, with great pain points come great opportunity!
That is the beauty of capitalism - where there is a problem, there is a solution to be built
And this problem seems far to great of an opportunity to ignore
Startups, the time is yours!
Free, open-source, local-first & model agnostic.

Qwen 3.8 27B is amazing...
I wanted to test what @Alibaba_Qwen Qwen 3.8 27B running locally on a single 5090 could do in Row-Bot. I gave it just one prompt:
"I want you to create an animation showing what the current local model can do. Testing it to the extreme. Do not use image generation or video generation. Use whatever else you can. Make it as visually rich as you can. Show me what the model is capable of."
@QwenDevs This is what it produced. It also automatically loaded the frontend design skill using the new progressive loading of skills feature.
Local models can already do a lot more than people think they can. All you need is a well built harness like Row-Bot to run them. I was genuinely impressed by the results:
"It's open in your browser now, sir. Eight scenes, ~105 seconds of autonomous animation, then a replay button at the end:
Cold boot — terminal log + scramble-decode title
Language synthesis — a passage streamed word-by-word with a live token ticker, drafting log, and a real-time words/sec sparkline
Live mathematics — e^{iθ} drawn on the complex plane as θ sweeps to π, landing on e^{iπ} + 1 = 0; alongside, the Leibniz series converging to π with ~4,200 terms and a live error/matching-digit readout
Fractal computation — a Mandelbrot zoom into the seahorse valley, recomputed pixel-by-pixel in the page (57,600 points/frame) with live zoom/iteration/render-time telemetry
Knowledge graph — a live network of your 612 local entities with auto-drawn relations and a highlighted query path
Tool orchestration — plan → search → read → synth → write → verify, with terminal log plus a fan-out ×2 parallel agent progress demo
Physics sandbox — 1,500 particles through three fields (gravity, vortex, flow) — move your cursor through it to perturb the field; color encodes velocity, with live FPS
Verdict — the scorecard ticks 0→8, closing on "Written, computed, rendered — entirely on this machine."
Controls: click or → to advance, ← to go back, space to pause. The HUD shows live FPS, the clock, and the current scene."

If you want a great example of how an AI assistant does parent led async sub agent orchestration using LangGraph agents check out Row-Bot.
We have made great progress on durable child agent orchestration for long horizon tasks.
we are thinking a lot about how to make deepagents more async native. specifically about making async subagents work better/more prominent
one key question is how does a finished subagent "notify" the parent agent? some default behaviors we're considering for when the parent is still running:
1/ interrupt parent run, apply subagent update, continue (basically same as "steer")
2/ wait for parent run to finish, then batch subagent update with any other new messages (basically same as "queue")
another question is how to handle human in the loop? what if main agent is not running but paused and waiting explicit human response to an action?
a/ wait for human to respond, then batch the subagent update with that
b/ resume thread (which would cancel the human interrupt) with the subagent update (thread could then re-ask for the same human approval)
any other options we're missing?
This is a game changer. Connecting to your favourite apps has never been simpler.
Free, Open-source, model agnostic, local-first.
Row-Bot 5.1 brings 100+ featured apps including GitHub, Notion, Linear, Figma and Stripe and around 40,000 MCP server listings from the official registry.
▶️Watch the demo.
Connecting the apps you already use is guided: choose the app, sign in or add your key, then decide what it can access. When a task needs an app, you can connect it directly from the chat.
The catalog is mirrored on your PC and searchable offline, by app name or by the job you want done.
@ mentions, per-chat app controls, skills, workflow templates and an interactive dashboard that asks for approval before saving.
You choose which apps can read or make changes. Keys stay in the system keychain. One switch stops every app.
