getting nostalgic again. I enjoy the trappings of modernity of course (especially medicine!) but it is deeply relaxing to have your only stressor being whether you can find a running water source to drink from and your only problem being the trail you’re hiking is covered in snow

FCPS has cancelled all outdoor activities today due to the code red air quality. Athletes are strongly advised to erg indoors and limit time outside.

Code Red over most of the area this morning. Code Red begins at a 151 Air Quality Index. Many spots between 155-165. Bad air lasts through the day.
Unhealthy for the general public. Limiting outdoor time is a good idea in Code Red or worse.

sometimes I think the stuff we say or do as coaches doesn’t have a huge impact on the athletes but then I remember I still have an Arby’s free meal card my college coach gave me after I PRed on a 6K in 2015
