Dont think either club made a real effort - MV didnt want a huge success and VRC didnt want to ruin their 4 day money fest. @RacingVictoria should of intervened.

And it needed to go because it literally had the worst honor roll of any Australian G1 and surprised it didn’t get demoted like the Metrop. Dulciify, kingston town, Phar lap, So you think, Makybe diva, sunline, winx etc ….theyd be lucky to win a Doomben cup.

Exactly. The redevelopment is one thing, but the underlying financial sustainability of the club is another. Unlocking land value might fund the capital works, but it doesn’t necessarily fix the operating model. Hopefully members won’t see KordaMentha picking over the carcass.
