So cool to realize that @linear, with this level of craft and dedication to perf, is powered (among many many other things) by MobX

We just released #MobX 7! Mostly a cleanup released to remove old baggage. Legacy non-proxy support, legacy decorators all cleaned up and a 40% smaller package. Details: github.com/mobxjs/mobx/relea…
Credits to @egorgorv for the awesome effort!

Working on #MobX 7, a major clean-up removing things that are no longer needed. E.g. non-proxy support. I suspect that APIs like spy, observe, intercept, dehancer also receive very little usage. Does anybody use those? Feel free to chime in! github.com/mobxjs/mobx/pull/…

Just Shipped: Flue 1.0 Beta
Flue is the TypeScript framework for building the next generation of agents, designed around an open agent harness with zero LLM lock-in. It’s like Astro, for agents.
Flue 1.0 has been redesigned around three core primitives:
🔁 Workflows — structured automations designed for background work, where your code drives the agent from start to finish.
🧭 Agents (New!) — autonomous, stateful loops where the model drives itself to complete a given task.
📡 Channels (New!) — connect agents to Slack, GitHub, Linear, Discord, Teams, and more. Flue handles the boilerplate for you.
Everything shares the same durable foundation, powered internally by Pi, Vite, and Durable Streams. Deploy anywhere, use any LLM, and recover running agents across restarts and downtime.
We’ve talked to a lot of teams building agents, and keep hearing the same thing: getting to production is hard work. We built Flue to help change that.
Flue 1.0 Beta is available today. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

You can now pair SWE-1.5 with Sonnet 4.5 for planning in Windsurf.
This lets you create hybrid agents that take advantage of SWE-1.5's speed while working together with SOTA models for planning out more complex tasks.

React takes “UI = fn(state)” too far, IMO. You’re required to give ALL your state to React to update the UI.
Then it provides escape hatches to give you back things you need, like useRef, useCallback, etc.
But what if you never gave React all your state in the first place?

Here's a fun & little known fact —
We built a custom reconciler for @reactjs to render the Battlefield UI (and FIFA & NHL UI too) inside the EA Frostbite Game Engine.
So yes — we used React & MobX (@mweststrate) for state management in games at @EA.

Last week at MST we:
1. Upgraded to TypeScript 5.3.3
2. Swapped over to Bun for package management
3. Fixed a long-standing TypeScript bug
This week, keep an eye out for more TS fixes, a preview release, and maybe some new utilities for modeling your application state!

@mweststrate was way ahead of time! Svelte 5 reminds me of MobX where they use proxied state!
This is why I love MobX :)

MobX-State-Tree v5.4.0 is stable! This release comes with some performance improvements, the ability to import { t } from 'mobx-state-tree' (as opposed to `types`), and gives snapshot processing some more context during post-processing.
