It’s a huge problem for the Republican Party that you can take a look at the men they run for elected office and just know that every single one of them has close ties to someone who likes to fuck children.

Wheelchair users have been trying for ages to raise awareness about their wheelchairs being broken so often when they fly, and the devastating impact this has on them.

for many disabled people, there comes a realization that you would be left during an emergency. fires, school shootings, pandemics, war...it's dehumanizing and terrifying, but it's based in reality. to see the events over the last month play out, to be able to witness the endless care of neighbors and healthcare professionals refusing to leave their most vulnerable members behind has healed something inside of me that i have carried for half of my life. these people aren't just heroes- they're role models, they're the best society has to offer.

I am extremely pleased to announce that I am now represented by the esteemed Bonnie Nadell of the @HillNadell Literary Agency. With her guidance, I’m looking forward to bringing my A-game to this manuscript, and letting more of Schuyler’s story breathe to life.

tRump made fun of me for being disabled. Some of you laughed but I could be your son, brother, grandson or nephew. Think about what that means before you vote 🗳.
I’m proud and honored to receive this opportunity to expand the reach of twenty years of advocacy. Sometimes you know what you want to do with your life. And sometimes that thing finds you instead.

When a company like @amazon tells you that the only way to get customer satisfaction for an adult with an intellectual/developmental disability is to lie and pretend they are a child, our cultural, societal tradition of infantilizing adults with disabilities continues.

I can't drink without plastic straws. For years I've bought clear ones online (look a bit nicer than kids' ones). Since the straw ban they've got more expensive and now they've disappeared
If your environmentalism only affects disabled people, it's not as progressive as you think
There are a lot of great things about working at the same advocacy organization as my daughter. Behold, the little notes she leaves at my desk.
