Proud to be an investigator on this study! For many years now, I have taught our fellows that they can no longer just say KRAS mutant (need to specify variant). Now, this is the first for p53 Y220C today with more to come.
In a phase 1 study of the oral p53 reactivator rezatapopt in heavily pretreated patients with TP53 Y220C–mutated solid tumors, the most common adverse events were nausea and vomiting, and the overall response was 20%. Rupali Lav is Tucker Lab’s most recent PhD graduate. Her research focuses on unraveling the cellular and molecular mechanisms driving post-natal dental development and regeneration. Chat with her about life in the Himalayas, hiking, and the translation of bio-innovation.#MeetCCRB

Tucker group is led by Prof Abigail Tucker, a developmental biologists who loves getting side-tracked by weird and wonderful creatures in the animal kingdom. Echidna, snake, opossum, bats. Chameleon eggs incubating in the lab as we speak. #MeetCCRB

#MeetCCRB: Tucker group is fascinated by the development of the head, with a focus on the jaw, teeth and ear. Formation of these structures involves complex interactions, and we are interested in how the various cells and tissues talk to each other to make a functioning organ.

Friends, I’d love to know what open questions you’re stoked about (esp. if you think a non-traditional organism or unique biology in a traditional one holds the key). Would concerted effort/tech advancement unlock? Want to know that too. Reply here & I may ping you to learn more!

We are delighted to announce that 11th edition of King’s Think Tank’s Annual Policy Journal, The Spectrum, is now published. Read the 11th Edition of The Spectrum Today: bit.ly/3hOZpAS
My take on current situation: variants will continue to cause issues but our vaccines (both doses!) are effective as an additional layer of protection. We have to move away from harsh restrictions & lockdowns, to data-driven, precise outbreak management using science & logistics.

Exactly! How do we make it easier for homeless people to navigate the complexities of the health system? Especially when they may not have digital access or literacy?
