it continues to be the most bizarre but also somewhat rewarding experience to be creating something and putting it out in the world and then have people enjoy it enough to press like it or even want more of it nowletsbeclear.substack.com

Gridlock on Duke Street back to and down Brook Street. Slow handclap to Sadiq Khan’s pedestrianisation of Oxford Street.

there’s something about being argued with by a person or entity that refuses to accept material facts that puts me to total despair if we’re just making shit up then fine, you do that, because fuck the consequences for other people amirite haven’t it in me to fight anymore

Replying to @AlexMartin
I don’t really want to drag the guy on Twitter but it is a bit like an economics correspondent saying they’d never heard of the gold standard or the IMF. You might trust their reporting… but you’d be pretty skeptical about their analysis, no?

genuinely cannot imagine having the nerve to take on a role as "cyber correspondent" for the bbc and *not know what PHP is* but somehow i am not at all surprised

'Cyber correspondent Joe Tidy says he didn't know PHP existed until yesterday morning - it's "one of these things we take for granted", he says.' Really inspires confidence in the quality of reporting - and here I was thinking I'm a luddite classicist.

if this PHP vulnerability allows remote code execution, doesn't that mean we can use the vulnerability to auto-patch all vulnerable servers?
