In 2019, Ned Lamont raised your taxes on food by increasing the prepared meals tax. In 2026, he’s hoping you won’t remember. Families across Connecticut are struggling with higher costs under Lamont. Your property taxes are up, your electric bills are up, and Lamont won’t even give you a break at the grocery store. As governor, I’ll cut your taxes by $2,500, eliminate hidden fees in electric bills and cut them by 20%, and deliver the real relief families need.

Connecticut residents will be surprised to hear Ned Lamont claim he’s “holding Eversource accountable”—especially when the utility’s CEO is bragging about the sweetheart deals they’ve gotten from him. I don’t think the governor even believes that. He’s routinely texting Eversource’s CEO to close backdoor deals that jack up your electric bill. We need a governor who will truly fight for ratepayers, hold utilities accountable, and cut your electric bill by 20%. With the right leadership, we can do it.

Voters want substantive leaders, but too often they are not presented with candidates who take them seriously. This election, we are changing that. COMING SOON: I sat down with my friend and former State Representative Terrie Wood to go beyond the headlines and soundbites. We talked about leadership, my vision for Connecticut, and what’s inspired me to seek the office of Governor. Full interview dropping tonight.

The Buck Stops Somewhere: When Ned Lamont ran for office, he called Connecticut “Corrupticut.” But after eight years on the job, corruption has flourished under Lamont. He called it “small ball” when senior officials in his administration spent tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars on dining and car service. He failed to hold bad actors accountable, repeatedly leading to over a dozen scandals on his watch and millions of your tax dollars getting stolen. And when I proposed real anti-corruption reforms like conflict-of-interest checks and submission of financial statements, the governor rejected those reforms. As governor, I’ll bring accountability back to state government and cut the Corruption Tax you’re paying under Lamont. We deserve better.

Behind every layoff is a family facing uncertainty and a community feeling the loss. With Cannondale closing its Wilton office and S&S Worldwide announcing layoffs, what is Connecticut doing to retain good jobs?

Families in our state are struggling under Lamont. Like the mother I met in Torrington this week—an immigrant to Connecticut from the Dominican Republic—who now has to work three jobs just to support herself and her family. Many people are even forgoing insurance to make ends meet. It doesn’t have to be this way. It’s time we had a governor who understands that. With the right leadership, we can give people in our state better choices. You won’t have to decide between paying your electric bill, feeding your family, or getting medical care. As Governor, I’ll cut your taxes, eliminate the hidden fees that drive up electric bills, expand access to quality healthcare, and bring opportunity back to our state.

When he ran for governor, Ned Lamont promised not to raise taxes. Then he was elected and proceeded to raise taxes by $3 billion over eight years. And people across Connecticut are feeling it. He’s raised taxes on your food, on your paychecks, on your digital purchases, and more. My plan will deliver the largest tax cut to the middle class in state history. It’s ambitious and realistic, and as governor, we’ll get it done because we have to deliver relief.

Connecticut is more unaffordable than ever after eight years of Lamont. He tries to paint a rosy picture for you, with attacks and empty promises, but you work hard to pay your taxes and your electricity bill. You know how hard it is to get by in this state. I am running for governor to make our state affordable to live, raise a family, run a business, and retire for all.

The people have spoken. We won the debate because the facts and the record are on our side. After eight years of tax and electric bill increases, people cannot take four more. It’s time for change. Spread the word. And VOTE.

Lamont: There’s no sales tax on food. Period. The reality: Lamont’s 2019 state budget raised taxes on prepared meals. That’s food. Visit my website to read my plan to cap property taxes: ryanfazio.com

You can’t make housing more affordable without lowering property taxes first. Under Ned Lamont, property taxes have gone up 40% or more in some towns. That’s a second mortgage for some families.

Just last year, Ned Lamont made a speech praising data centers, welcoming them to Connecticut. A few years before that, he passed a total exemption from sales and property taxes for data centers in Connecticut. Do any of you get to not pay sales or property taxes?
