People forget the tremendous courage of this moment. The media was awash with reports of an imminent second attack on soft targets. Would the attack be ballistic? Could anthrax be deployed on large crowds? At that time it wasn't a question of if but when. It took courage for the President to walk out there. It took courage for those New Yorkers to show up and cheer. A beautiful display of the indomitable American spirit.

You can have every right answer and still lose the person in front of you. People aren't waiting to be impressed — they're waiting to be loved. Before you correct, connect. Who needs to feel your care this week more than your competence?
