Now you have the glossary I wish I'd had a couple of months ago...

When I migrated @MemberDrive_org off of Heroku, I considered Render. So glad I didn’t go that direction.
Railway is disaster after disaster.
I know lots of devs are leaving them now. But frankly, people should have left a long time ago.
There have been so many red flags with that company:
March, data leak:

April, a customer wipes their own db, and instead of Railway acknowledging their part and apologising, he replies with "massive opportunity". They seem to have recovered that data for the customer afterwards, though.

Last week, env vars leaked:
teapawt.net/wickedguro/status/2113…
Today, employees' agent went rogue, and tried to hack another platform:
teapawt.net/joshmanders/status/211…
Hate to pile on the criticism, but when other platforms leak data or get hacked, they respond so much more responsibly.

I'm 39. A solopreneur dad living in a small town in France 🇫🇷
I don't dream of building a billion-dollar company.
I dream of being able to take a Tuesday morning off to walk in the forest with my daughter, wife and/or dog.
No boss, permission needed, or guilt.
Money was literally NEVER the goal.
Affording time with the people I love was.
I'm still working on it, but that's my definition of success. ❤️
Oh, and let's connect and share our journeys 🤝🤝
It may seem strange to be polite to computers, but issuing gruff commands and ordering it around like a task master makes me feel grouchy and arrogant.
I talk to my agents the same way I would talk to a person.
Saying please and thanks to your agent feels like a waste of tokens… but our brain can’t really tell the difference between talking to your agent and talking to a human.
So if you command your AI all day without being polite, it'll transfer to how you talk to colleagues, your wife, your kids and so on.
Don't talk politely for the AI's sake. Do it for your own

Paul’s 45,000 figure matches the Center for the Study of Global Christianity’s 2020 count (now ~50–53k). It measures groups at the country level, not distinct doctrines: the same tradition in different nations counts separately. Under this model the Catholic Church alone registers ~234 “denominations” (one per country of presence), plus Eastern rites.
This is it right here.

Here is Proton CTO's AI manifesto, that I obtained multiple copies of 404media.co/manifestos-fear-…
I've been brainstorming business ideas all week. I thought it would help but I feel like it just unlocked a new level of overwhelm.
I have the worst mental block right now. Every time I sit down to do some meaningful work, I just can't make myself do it.
Is this just me, or does this happen to anyone else?

World after a week offline: parks full of talkers and readers, family meals without screens, libraries and cafes packed, post-office lines, empty offices and dark laptops. People rediscovering each other.
