BREAKING: SUSPECT! Pete Hegseth's wife under ethics SCRUTINY over consulting payments tied to a major Pentagon contractor.
While Pete Hegseth runs the Pentagon (poorly, we must say), his wife reportedly has a front-row seat to all he does, and she’s been collecting consulting money from a firm that works for one of its biggest contractors.
According to POLITICO, Jennifer Hegseth disclosed that she was paid for consulting by Watchtower Strategy, an influential Trump-aligned public affairs firm. One of Watchtower’s clients is Lockheed Martin. Public records show the federal government paid Lockheed more than $66 billion during the fiscal year she was paid.
This wouldn’t matter much if she were just a Cabinet spouse staying out of her husband’s work. She isn’t.
The Daily Beast describes her as an unofficial adviser to her husband who has embedded herself in daily Defense Department operations. The New York Times reported that in late 2024, before his confirmation hearing, she attended closed-door meetings with Republican senators and sat in on interviews with people who wanted jobs under him. Some senior officials and politicians told the Times her closeness to sensitive defense conversations was “not normal.”
There’s a family connection too. Her father was a Lockheed Martin executive. He died in 2009. The Pentagon says everything is fine. They would, wouldn’t they?
Spokesperson Sean Parnell said the couple is “in full compliance with all ethics laws and regulations.” He called any suggestion otherwise “ridiculous slander.” He also said the department works to “ensure senior leaders are completely screened” from private interests. He did not say whether Jennifer has been screened for a security clearance, which is a strange thing to leave out about someone sitting in on Pentagon business.
A spokesperson for Watchtower told POLITICO that “it should be no surprise” a public affairs firm would want to work with a former Fox News star producer.
The reporting doesn’t show that the money influenced any Pentagon decision, and it doesn’t say how much she was paid. But it doesn’t need to. Conflict-of-interest rules exist to prevent exactly this situation: a defense contractor’s consultants paying someone with a direct line to the defense secretary.
It’s also part of a pattern under Hegseth. His department just handed a no-bid extension to Raytheon, a company that admitted defrauding taxpayers. It paid $533 million for an artillery plant that produced no shells. And it spends its energy chasing generals over supposed leaks instead of chasing contractors over fraud.
Jennifer Hegseth said on a podcast that once her husband got the job, “We were ready to serve in any capacity.” Apparently, that includes on a consulting payroll.
With Democrats about to hold subpoena power, the Hegseths may soon have to explain all of this under oath. Whether it will be before or after Pete Hegseth faces an impeachment motion remains to be seen.

🇵🇾 Chaos on the streets as Paraguay’s largest digital bank collapses
Nearly 3 million customers affected as the country faces a major political and financial crisis.
Paraguay’s Central Bank (BCP) seized Ueno Bank, the country's largest digital lender, after its solvency ratio collapsed to less than half the legal limit.
Central Bank President Carlos Carvallo resigned at the request of President Santiago Peña. Carvallo previously chaired the finance company that evolved into Ueno Bank, drawing heavy criticism over regulatory blind spots and conflicts of interest.
The Specialized Unit for Economic Crimes and Anti-Corruption ordered the detention of eight high-level executives and figures tied to the bank, including founder and majority shareholder Miguel Vázquez and Ueno Bank President Juan Manuel Gustale.
The intervention completely froze Ueno Bank’s digital app, credit cards, and transfer capabilities. This has locked out roughly 3 million users, an estimated 60% of Paraguay's adult population, leaving many with no immediate way to access their money.
The state health and pension fund (IPS) has an estimated $380 million in public retirement funds invested in Ueno Bank.
Angry citizens, savers, and pensioners flooded the streets of the capital and gathered outside closed branches, demanding their cash and chanting for political accountability.

🚨Turmoil erupts in Paraguay as one bank’s collapse spirals into a NATIONAL CRISIS.
Ueno Bank, the country’s largest digital bank, has been seized by the Central bank after its solvency ratio plunged below half the legal minimum, leaving nearly 3 MILLION customers unable to access accounts, cards and transfers.
That’s almost 60% of Paraguay’s adult population.
Angry citizens have now taken to the streets demanding access to their money.
The disruption has spread beyond the bank- 13 mutual funds have reportedly frozen withdrawals, and trading in Ueno’s bonds has been suspended.
Nearly $380 MILLION belonging to the state pension fund is caught in the crisis.
The problem is how deeply Ueno was embedded in everyday payments.
It handled two-thirds of card payments at major stores. With those services frozen, Paraguay’s main importers’ association describes retail activity as “semi-paralyzed.”
Customers have been told they can initially recover up to $1,700, with no payment date given.
The political fallout is mounting with the Central Bank chief Carlos Carvallo resigning, and authorities having arrested 8 executives from the bank over suspected breach of trust.

I remember this disgusting video of Vivek Ramaswamy pledging in 2023 that he would stop all support for Ukraine if he were elected president of the United States.
He constantly insulted the Ukrainian government, calling its leaders “warlords.” He said that “Ukraine versus Russia is not a battle between good versus evil.” And he said that “Ukraine will not be admitted to NATO – not now, not ever.”
Let me use Ramaswamy’s own language to send him a message: Dear “warlord” Vivek, you have lost miserably in every election you have run in, despite spending tens of millions of dollars. The reason is that people don’t like you. They know that when you enter an election, it automatically becomes “a battle between good and evil” - and you are not on the good side. I really hope that you will never be an elected official in the United States – “not now, not ever.”
