We’re hiring a mobile designer at @Replit to design touch-native programming interfaces. Lots of room to innovate and come up with new patterns: most programming UX patterns were designed decades ago for keyboards, mice, big screens, etc. jobs.lever.co/replit/2f80611…

For my friends at big tech, I’m happy to talk and share my experience leaving. I got to meet with incredible people and companies on my journey here. There are so many good homes for talented people out there.

"Small groups tend to protect themselves by staying on the move and large groups tend to protect themselves by digging in and fighting" @sebastianjunger in Freedom Can't help but notice the parallel in corporations.

The same heavy resources which make a corp powerful make it more expensive to defend. Junger also makes the point that smaller successful societies tend to be more egalitarian, citing a low Gini coefficient as an indicator of equality.

The lesson may be that corporations should combat the weakness of size by maintaining a high level of ownership by the individual, even as they scale. Sort of like keeping a low to moderate “Gini coefficient” of ownership.
Learning a ton from this but now have an appetite for equally good resources on non Indo-European language families. Would love any recommendations here. @ElleForLanguage any ideas?
