if you really thought Platner was a good candidate until this latest scandal and thought there was nothing else, then you're an even worse judge of character than you are as a handicapper. stick to premature race calls and retractions and leave the judgements to others.

We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.

This impacts middle-schoolers and elementary schoolers as well, but in any case, this response is emblematic of the gratuitous cruelty that characterizes the Republican Party's approach to economics.
Re: WH pausing federal grants and loans, I asked Rep. Rich McCormick if he'd support getting rid of school lunches for his constituents. He tells me high school kids who receive free/reduced lunches "are capable of going out and actually getting a job" instead of "sponging off the government." NOTE: This freeze would also impact much younger students who are not of working age.

Check out the first chapter of my dissertation now available online at the link below! We studied Sonoma California Tiger Salamanders to identify important habitat variables influencing their larval densities. The model is being used to develop a Habitat Conservation Plan!

If you’re a Democrat in any blue state or blue city, number one on your list of politicians to primary out of office over the next 6 years are Democrats who block the expansion of housing. Unaffordable/unavailable housing can lead to very bad results on a host of issues

4. Partially because cities in blue states are really bad at building housing. SF, San Diego, and LA near the bottom.

This would be like coming out of 2004 and being "Democrats need to come out against Same-Sex Marriage" All the data says economy drove this. This is a take you only get if you are already a transphobic dickweed. You WANT this to be the case
Tom Suozzi, who scraped by Tuesday: “Democrats have to stop pandering to the far left,” he said. “I don’t want to discriminate against anybody, but I don’t think biological boys should be playing in girls’ sports.” He added, “Democrats aren’t saying that, and they should be.”

We've heard the voices of LGBTQ Kentuckians and we stand with them. Today I was proud to sign an executive order banning dangerous conversion “therapy” on our kids. No child, regardless of their sexuality, should be subjected to harm.

Ask the country to have a debate. My God. Forget the violation of your oath to the Constitution. Imagine being this depraved, this servile, this pathetic. This is why Trump needs to be asked about 2020 tonight and in every interview.
Q. Would you have certified the 2020 election? JD Vance: No. “I would have asked the states to submit alternative slates of electors and ask the country to have a debate” Disqualifying

Back from my yearly pilgrimage to visit the largest salamanders in the Americas. There is no other feeling like watching a massive hellbender crawl along the bottom of the stream as the current causes its loose skin to flutter. Like being transported to a different time.

MONEYBALL (2024): The pundits see Kamala Harris and they see a candidate with a -14 favorable rating, a horrible 2020 campaign, and similar odds against Donald Trump if she replaces Biden. When I see Kamala Harris, I see...an imperfect understanding of what candidate quality is

We polled Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin twice with @DataProgress. The first was when Biden dropped out, and Trump led Harris by 7 (and Biden by 6). The second was last week. Harris now leads Trump by 1. Read our @SplitTicket_ piece: split-ticket.org/2024/08/07/…

I’m proud of the Democratic Party. Proud of what we stand for. Proud of who we select to be our leaders. Encapsulated by President Biden humbling himself before us all, stepping down to allow Vice President Harris to carry forth his vision. Over $30m raised today. 💙💙💙

The party whose nominee used bogus claims of election fraud to incite an insurrection is now trying to lecture everyone about democracy, and this is one of the most pathetic arguments I have ever seen in my life.
At this unprecedented juncture in American history, we must be clear about what just happened. The Democrat Party forced the Democrat nominee off the ballot, just over 100 days before the election.   Having invalidated the votes of more than 14 million Americans who selected Joe Biden to be the Democrat nominee for president, the self-proclaimed ‘party of democracy’ has proven exactly the opposite.   The party’s prospects are no better now with Vice President Kamala Harris, who co-owns the disastrous policy failures of the Biden Administration. As second in command and a completely inept border czar, Harris has been a gleeful accomplice — not only in the destruction of American sovereignty, security, and prosperity, but also in the largest political coverup in U.S. history. She has known for as long as anyone of his incapacity to serve.   Regardless of the chaos in the current White House, our adversaries around the globe should be reminded that the U.S. Congress, the U.S. military, and the American people are fully prepared and committed to defend our interests both at home and abroad.   If Joe Biden is not fit to run for President, he is not fit to serve as President. He must resign the office immediately. November 5 cannot arrive soon enough.
