I think the most psychologically important thing about this election is that someone like Vivek actually suffered consequences for doing something heinous in an election campaign. That had straight up stopped happening to such an extent that it no longer felt possible
It’s always been so funny to me that we remember Chris Christie as a bumbling doofus (because in a lot of ways he is) but he is honestly a better speaker than 99.9% of the rest of the GOP
