This is my 1,000th @KateBushMusic feature!
I am sharing this now ahead of older features.
Here, I discuss why Kate Bush is as important to me now than ever.
Why she is so relevant and loved in 2025.
There is another important reason for this feature...

I am declaring my Artist of the Year a little early, as I am a big fan of her work.
I feel this year has been a massive one.
The Palestinian-American artist @LanaLubany is working on an album at the moment.
She is an utterly brilliant force in music:

A new compilation, JAZZED, combines some wonderful Eva Cassidy performances.
On 2nd November, it will be thirty years since we lost this amazing artist.
I have compiled a mix of tracks where we hear Cassidy at her absolute best:

A new documentary, Fleetwood Mac: The Chain, will air on Apple TV on 29th January, 2027.
Coinciding with the fiftieth anniversary of Rumours, I feel it will reframe and also reinforce their incredible legacy.
Will 2027 also see @fleetwoodmac perform again?

I spotlighted @claramannsongs back in 2022.
Since then, she released her 2025 debut album, Rift, and has just released the extraordinary Wishbone.
This is a singular artist you need to see live.
I feel that her new album should be award nominated:

I am thinking about the late Del Palmer, who would have turned seventy-four on 3rd November.
@KateBushMusic's Aerial turns twenty-one on 7th November.
Palmer was an essential part of Aerial.
I look at the preparation and release of the double album:

Ahead of the thirty-third anniversary of @KateBushMusic's The Red Shoes on 1st November, I argue that it has may gems and remains underrated.
Although not often seen as her weakest album like it used to, it is one rarely discussed:

Moments of Pleasure alone makes The Red Shoes such a worthy album.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written:

I have been a fan and follower of @snohaalegra for a decade now.
One of my favourite artists, she releases her fourth studio album, Legendary Love, on 13th November.
In addition to spotlighting her, I ask whether she will play in the U.K. next year:

Following the Mercury Prize on Thursday, I feel like we saw at least three incredible women who could and should headline major U.K. festivals next year.
I write why JADE and RAYE particularly are just right to top the bill of our biggest festivals:

On Tuesday (27th October), @amywinehouse's Back to Black turns twenty.
I have compiled a playlist featuring songs from the anniversary reissue, artists influenced by her, and the voices that inspired the much-missed Winehouse:

In a separate feature, I write about @beastieboys' Licensed to Ill at forty.
However, on 31st October, Adam Horovitz (Ad-Rock) turns sixty.
A third of the legendary Hip-Hop group, I wonder if we will ever hear a solo album from this incredible artist:
