The rumors are true.... Today we've released @rector 2.8, that is 30 % faster than 2.7 out of the box. And even 3x faster on PHP 8.3+ thanks to PHPStan Turbo. Huge thanks to @sander_scode who landed this feature in past 2 weeks 🎉🎉🎉

PHPStan Turbo now also makes Rector faster! Rector 2.8 ships with Turbo enabled, taking 50% less time to finish.

Set session.upload_progress.enabled=0 till next PHP release to block an unlikely RCE vector (CVE-2026-115560). Already recommended for CVE-2026-109619 Wed, keep disabled. Only apps with non-default serialize_handler switching it to "php" at runtime can be affected. #php #phpc

PHP sites behind Cloudflare already have an initial set of WAF rules deployed for the known exploit vectors in these vulnerabilities. The rules are available to all customers, including free. We are seeing early attacks emerging and are updating mitigations as new vectors show up. This is a STOPGAP only. Patch as soon as @ThePHPF releases the update at 14:00 UTC today.

Tried PHPStan 2.3.0 on our Laravel 13 project: cold analysis dropped from 40.86s to 17.88s with Turbo enabled — 2.29× faster! Same code/config, up to 6 workers. Thanks for the release! ** switched PHP 8.4 ZTS → NTS to enable Turbo. Warm cache: ~1.6s in both.

Ran PHPStan 2.3.0 on my work codebase, a large funeral services ERP (5,600+ files, 550k lines of Laravel), and asked the AI to chart the difference. Full cold analysis: 52.7s → 14.8s. 3.6× faster That's impressive work. It also caught 5 new real errors.
