We support @The_AFM musicians fighting for consent, credit and compensation when their work is used for AI development and music generation. The future of music must belong to the people who make it. #HumanMadeHumanPaid
Not only does @amazon consistently lead the warehouse industry in workplace injuries, with injury rates roughly double the national average, and ranks among the top corporations that forces its workers to utilize Medicaid and food stamps due to poverty wages, Amazon is also now using AI to track workers and rank how likely they are to form unions. seiu.co/3Ub5soY

As voters across the United States cast ballots on November 3, Californians are weighing whether to approve a one-time 5% tax on the wealth of billionaires in the state.
The tax would apply to roughly 250 Californians who now hold an estimated $2.3 trillion in wealth. Supporters say the wealth tax could raise up to $100 billion, with about 90% going toward healthcare. The remaining funds would support education and food assistance programs.

California state workers say they’re tired of governors balancing the budget “on their backs” and are beginning a statewide state strike today. It's the first-ever statewide walkout in 44 years. cal.news/4dTfyS5

We already have a public benefit fund, @AnthropicAI. It's called "government " and it's funded by taxes so people, not billionaires, decide what to spend it on. #WealtTaxNow #YesonProp40 @CaliforniaLabor @BernieSanders reuters.com/business/anthrop…

Writer @NaomiAKlein says the rapid rise of artificial intelligence is part of a much longer project of privatization. "After 50 years of outsourcing and hollowing out of public functions of the state, the very last stage is the outsourcing of thinking, of intelligence itself."

The uber rich aren't sailing away without paying their fair share of taxes on our watch.

Once again. Just like the Paramount Merger Gavin Newsom does what he always does. Sells out the working class people for the billionaires again and again. Not only that but endorses a bill that will make it impossible to tax the wealthy at all.

Enough is enough! The state workers of @seiu1000 have had ENOUGH of the state's bad-faith bargaining. Now they are READY TO STRIKE! More than 96% of SEIU Local 1000 members voted to authorize a @californialabor sanctioned statewide strike on Wednesday, Oct. 21. This will be the first strike in SEIU Local 1000 history! Brothers and sisters, it's time to MOBILIZE! Put on your union drip and show up at a strike line NEAR YOU!
All we are asking is that BILLIONAIRES pay their fair share in taxes. Given that AI companies were built on stealing our data, art, writing, movies, thoughts, post, movements, posts, etc, the LEAST they can do is pay taxes.
It's way better than pitchforks

Yes, of course. So while they fight a one time, 5% tax to keep hospitals open in CA, we are to believe they are totally willing to share enough of their concentrated wealth to make this happen.

In an age dominated by technology, in which efficiency and profit often take precedence, it is so important that we continue to cultivate a spirit of contemplation and allow time and space for beauty. Such an attitude will greatly help humanity, especially young people, to discover the ability of art to uplift and reveal the depths of the human spirit and our openness to the divine. Contemplation presents a marvelous opportunity to encounter the God who is Beauty.

The most important political task in America is clawing back wealth from the very rich. The most important ballot measure in America is the California billionaire tax. The most important litmus test for presidential candidates is support for wealth taxes.
